To people asking about the book:
Of Mice and Men was written in 1937. It's about two ranchhands, George (small and clever) and Lennie (big and mentally childish). And they have kind of a "family" bond, although George doesn't show it because he's kind of a tough guy. The book only has six chapters so I can't really say much more without giving anything away.
It's not a kids' book, between all the uneducated-farmworker-esque profanity and the dark themes, but it's at least a somewhat moral story.

Too many books to read, augh...
Plus it's a CRIME that I STILL haven't read LoTR...thoroughly enjoyed The Hobbit, so dunno why I haven't read its predecessors yet.
Also Animal Farm, Divergent, Ender's Game, Eragon, Game of Thrones (ehhhh nevermind I'll skip it), and sooo many others.
AND I wanna re-read Harry Potter, Narnia, Hunger Games, Ga'Hoole, Warriors, Peter Pan, A Wrinkle in Time...
BOOKS STOP BEING SO LONG AND GOOD
(also if you've never read A Wrinkle in Time drop whatever you're currently doing and READ IT it's Studio Ghibli and Doctor Who and Narnia and Star Wars and The Bible all wrapped up into the most delicious little paperback)
