Eeveewolves' creature is an Alphyn. They are simply a mix of wolf, tiger, and dragon. Mcr's is a QuestingBeast, which comes out of Arthurian lore and has a serpentine head (the neck is longer than in the adopt thing) and a cervine body with spines along its back. FliccaFang has a Manticore, a lion with a man-like face, wings and a scorpion tails. Scratch has a roc, a massive bird rumoured to be able to pick up elephants. Shame has a hippogryph, a horse/eagle mixture. Oakfur has a Buraq, a cow with a man's face and wings. It comes from Babylonian myth, I think. That or Persian.
