Contray to VERY popular belief TAME rats are very friendly! they hate being dir.ty and it is EXTREMELY rare for them to acually bite. Do not count nibbles and nips as bites. Bites are when the draw blood. I have had my rats for 2 1/2 yrs and not once been bit. if they nibble and like your hands it means your hands are tasty as heck XD

X3 cute, I had 2 hamsters(Coco and Cookie) once. They were very tamed. but then they died. Then I got two budgies (Kiwi and Snow)

My dad hates rats with a capital H.
The reason is because, when he was a kid he had to clean out the mouse-traps in his parents house most of the time. He is the youngest out of 8 siblings you see.
Anyway, one time we got a mouse in the house. You know like a street rat boarder line hood rat, actually I think it was a hood rat because, I do live somewhat in the hood except, it's not in the bad part it just has nice old homes and a bunch of seniors living there. But, when you leave the street I live on well, it can get a bit ugly. Heck sometimes people throw trash on our yard when they walk by. *Sigh*
Anyway the mouse in our house was rathet smart. It wouldn't go near the peanut butter covered mouse-traps we had out, and it even went into our trashcan and pulled out a small bag of chips.
To make a long story short all we had to do was put some cheese out on a trap and we got him. Boy was that a happy day for my dad because that rat...
