Even though this is a bit of a sketch, I want some criticism on this.(in a nice way pls) I know, I could of done better on the grass... .-. And the tree was meant to look kinda short.
The Colors! Gallery moderators will look at it as soon as possible.

Good job with the lighting, and you did great with all the trees and water!

pretty nice, the messy-ish outlines on the trees and bushes are a nice touch!

I automatically clicked on this when the gallery loaded. It's a beautiful sketch! If you were to go in more detail I suggest you do more value and contrast. Patches of light here and there or at least that's what I would do. Other than that it looks awesome :0

There's nothing here to be criticized really.I think it's perfect. ouo

^ That's criticism. lol
Anywho, if I may: permit me to say this is quite lovely. It inspires a lulled simplicity of quiet solitude. I particularly like the water color-charcoal blend style, but the lighting is a little off. The woods in the back appears backlit, but the contrasts are hinting that the light is coming from somewhere off screan to the left. You integrated your character into the picture very well, the horison and forshortening are exceptional as well.
My only hint is that things become darker and more hazy the further away they are, but I don't think this picture would have the same affect if you did anything differently. This really is good, you know.

I like the look of this like it was made for books. Your character look like he's relaxing as he been paper work before

This is amazing. If I could add more likes I would. The way you drew this looked like it came from a comic book.
What color did you use for the outline of this painting? Grey, Black, Dark gray?
18 Apr, 2014, 3:26 am
just the white spots in the bg i guess.

Looks perfect. The white spots of the background simulating fog fit perfectly with the dull colors of the foreground, giving the feeling of a gloomy day. Everything's very well drawn, this is good.

@ganley: i just used the air brush tool set as small as it could on the color black o3o
@everyone: thanks for all the nice advice and comments! ; J

I like the soft, semi-realistic appearance of this. The grass isn't bad, it just looks a little flat. The colours and textures are very nice, though. :)

Huh. I think this looks great the way it is! I really like the shading and object proportions in this pic! 8 J

Wow this scene looks a lot like my first painting on Colors :) but yours looks a lot better.
Here's some critism (plz don't take it negatively)
That hole in the tree looks awesome and real, but the other parts of the tree lack that. The water is nice, awesome, realistic and looks too good for a sketch O_o Maybe the back-background should've been green instead of white, but that's pretty much it. I like everything else :D

I like the shading and color pallette on the pictire, and the way you made bushes kind of see-through was cool! Some of the lines are a bit messy, but it IS a sketch. Good job!
