This is a discusson on what would most likely REALLY happen if people were suddenly turned into an animal or furry, especially against their will (a popular furry-comic theme). I included a picture of the Talking Chimera from FullMetal Alchemist as a darkly ironic statement (if you've seen FMA you KNOW what I'm talking about -cough-ShouTucker-cough-). This is not meant to crush anyone's dreams....

Hmm, interesting thoughts, really.

I agree with everything you said! Also there is another issue... What if someone becomes a hybrid of an animal that wouldn't be able to survive in that person's habitat/area? Like someone becomes a frog or earthworm hybrid in a desert or a reptile hybrid in a really cold area (like antarctica)? And there's also the issue of how fish people would live their lives in a world made for terrestrial humans... :P Also there could be problems due to size differences. How does an ant or bed bug or dust mite person avoid being squashed?

interesting :O
i would want to be an animal though...
just because humans are ugly. XD
i think that it would be cool if we could all turn into our O.C., even if its not an animal. (for people who have OCs)
but yeah, this is actually very realistic. :o

UPDATE: This isn't so much a "you should be happy with being human" sappy message but more of a "there's a dark side to the common fantasy-scenario of forced worldwide-trasmorphism". Think of it like this: in Mass Effect the main villans think they're doing everyone a favor by melting down entire spechies and foecabley turning them into giant metal squids, something a lot of people DO NOT WANT. At the end of Mass Effect 3 the head villan (and Bioware) gives you the "perfect" option of forcebly turning everyone into a robot-hybrid, a nightmarish scenario that a lot of fans found disturbing (and Bioware serious thought this was the "best" ending). In FullMetal Alchemist a lot of human-chimeras hate how they were forcibily turned into monsters, even though a lot of other people don't understand why they'd hate being ultra-powerful living wepons that are "cursed with awesome". In the latest season of The Walking Dead, well I'm not going to spoil it.......

oh and about the animals-not-getting-into-heaven thing, I'm a christian and i really dont know if animals go to heaven. XD the Bible doesnt just flat-out say they wont. the only reason they wouldnt go to heaven would be because animals arent intelligent enough to be able to accept Jesus. but heck, maybe they actually can. XD
i know that if we all turned into furries but were still as intelligent as humans, we could get into heaven.
the Bible says your faith gets you into heaven, not whether or not you are human.
we really will never for sure know whether or not animas go to heaven XD
so yeah, just thought id say that. XD

Frankly, I'm worried about the state of colors (like blue and red, not this). As different animals' eyes are able to pick-up specific colors, would these newly transformed guys be able to see our human color wheel, or would people who turn into mantis shrimp be blown away when they first see cymurange?

Its thoughts and possibilities like these that made me come up with a world where anthros live among humans and animals (with an alternate history that still leads up to our modern world).

I see where you are coming from. This would make a great movie. :)

Luckily, science has got our backs and this isn't happening. However, people are still allowed to fantasize and imagine their own little world as they want to. It's not like it's ever going to happen though XD

Amazing bit you've done here, there would be so many other problems too, war of species, lots of shampoo/conditoner being used, that's not even to mention if some were turned macro/micro, real/pool toy/plushie.

I'd want to be an animal. Being a human sucks. Catching my own food is easier than working around jerks all day.
