The three horses traveled down a long dirt road with the wind pounding against their backs and trying to get under their wings. Guards totted and clancked when the seams of their armor collided with itself. Servants tended to them and carried the prince in an (hold on one sec X'D) i forgot what its called.. that throne carried by servants thingy...
Timeshift walked with great care, and even when near the castle his wings were still tucked firmly to his body. His eyes were narrowed in the gusts, since his hair blew into his eyes.
Whoops three XD *brainfa.rt* Anywho, Kaiyah dug her claws into the dirt as if her wings would be forced open at any time. Excitement filled her when she thought of a great castle ahead full of cake and others to socialize with. Her mane was pinned back tightly to stop it from obstucting her veiw. She looked over at Time who was having trouble with his hair. "Time, do you want me to put your hair back?" (which castle do you want to go to? :p)
Time managed a quick glance over, his ears swiveling as he picked up her voice. it took him a minute to process what he had heard. His mane and tail whipped around in the strong, howling wind. "Mabye--" He said over the howls. "That might help--" ((hm... -w- i have an idea but i'm not sure if you'd be cool with it)
(any castle is fine with me -u-) "Ok!" Kaiyah raised her voice. She took a the tie out of her bag and gently put Time's mane in a bun. He looked a little unusual with his hair up that Kaiyah couldn't help but giggle. / Oh I hope he didn't hear that../ she thought and felt a little guilty.
Times ears were lowered slightly. Something about it was rather undignifying, he thought. He walked with his head low, his wings tight. But his feathers frayed out occasionally, and he would lose his footing. (Welp. I was thinkin Landers becuz i dont know any others)
Ok :) "We're almost there ugh finally." Kaiyah said with annoyance; her wings kept trying to get caught in the wind and she stumbled several times. "I can see the lake. It really is great wow! It just cuddles against the castle like a kitten." The Castle of Great Lake looked small compared to the lake. The tens of towers stood abouve the gates, while the small tents and shacks (where the poor/homeless live) cradled the side if the castle looked small and petty.
Time's eyes traversed the landscape, himself in awe at the lakes size. He then studied the castle, with its beautifully elegant curves and sharp corners-- Truly a masterpeice. Then his wings flared out suddenly, and he lowered on his legs, struggling to close them.
"Woah, here let me." She said in alarm and pushed his wings down with her front feet. "Good thing I have hands." Kaiyah chuckled lightly and pressed herself against Time's body to prevent their wings from flaring. "This way we can keep each other from getting blown away." she cleared her throat and tried not to blush. /Oh, why do I do this? I feel so embarrased now that we are so close./
Time gave her a sideways glance as she did. "Thank you." He added, using some of his focus to keep his other wing tightly shut. Luckily the Castle was just up ahead-- then they could get a break from this wind.
They finally reached the castle gates, but Kaiyah felt sorry for all the famalies living in the shacks nearby. With a thundering creak of metal chains and wood scraping, the large gates slowly opened and revealed a lively city filled with hasty merchants, shady theives, snickering children and so much commotion. Kaiyah's heart leaped with joy at the sight of so many citizens. The guards made a path for the two horses to pass through the large, bustling crowd. Kaiyah tried to internalize everything from the stench of fe.ces to the fine clothes of the rich. The two trotted past the crowd and the numerous amount of shops and shouting traders. "This place is amazing! I wonder what it is like inside! I can't wait 'till we get to meet Sky's fiance. She says she can join us when her duties with the elders are done."
Time hastily used his magic to untie his mane, glancing about as he trotted to keep up. "I didn't think so many would live here--" He admitted. Then he nodded. "And that sounds fine."
I better look up hollow shade then XD A gryphon flew overhead and several children looked suspi.sously at the two. Kaiyah was too busy admiring the crowded marketplace to notice any glances. After a short walk and slipping in a mud puddle (at least Kaiyah hoped it was mud) they came up to another set of gates, but these were smaller and intricatley designed for the entrance to the castle garden. Guards opened the gate and the aroma of flowers, apples and cherries wafted toward them. Bushes trimmed into princley (horse) knights and the creatures known as humans along with apple trees towering above their heads and cherry trees in small clusters. An apple fell onto the ground in front of them and landed with a thud. Kaiyah picked a perfectly ripe apple from the tree and took a bite, "Mmm so crunchy." The guards following them stopped at the doors to the inside of castles halls. "Now I'm starting to get a bit nervous."
Time slowed to a tentative stop, his sharp green gaze studying the guards carefully. He then studied the garden with fake interest, whispering to Kaiyah, "Why? What's wrong?" in an undertone. The guards bore hard, serious expressions all the while, which was a bit nerve-wracking.
"Well, I've never been to a castle like this before. And all the guards too make it seem like something bad will happen." Kaiyah replied. "I think this apple is helping." She took another bite as if it gave her courage. "Alrighty, lets meet this Prince." They walked toward the red gate with the symbol for the family that lives there; a lake with a serpent surrounding it. The gate smelled of old wood and the inside of the castle looked as it were carved from stone. The cuts in it were clean and smoothed, torches lighted the large hallway and a regal, egotistical looking Unicorn stood there. "Hello," said the handsome unicorn, "I am Lander, prince of this land. My fiance tells me many things about you, Kaiyah. You can reside here for as long as you want. Now, you must be tired, I'll show you to your quarters." "He's so formal." whispered Kaiyah.
Time nodded subtly in response to Kaiyahs quiet remark. He dipped his head respectfully in greeting, however, just as his mother had taught him to. She thought that no matter whom you speak with, showing them respect was the kindest thing to do. And he complied willingly. That's why old friends liked him so-- No matter if he was Alicorn or not. "That's very gracious of you." He spoke up, his own legs and wings sore from the gale that opposed them in their travels.
cr.ap I gotta go after this comment :/ Lander led the down the large hallway, and felt a little more dominent when Time was so humble. "Ahem- here are your quarters." He stopped and gestured Time into the room. "Yours is next door." He pointed to the room right next to Time's. "If you need anything, just ring the bell next to your bed for the maid. I hope you all enjoy your stay." Lander bowed slightly and walked away. "Well then I guess I'll get some rest." Kaiyah yawned and waved at Time. (g2g brah :p I can rp 2morrow)
Time eyed Lander as he left, and he took a deep breath before looking at Kaiyah. "Seems like a good idea." He smiled thoughtfully. "I'll see you in the morning, Kaiyah. Good night." He said in a rather sweet voice before heading into his room. ((kk-- Night!))
