The clunkier and more mechanical design makes them more acceptible to me personally.
It´s a bit like they wanted to turn Other M´s Zero Suit design into something that would be more fit for combat.

I really like Zero Suit Samus' new design. I think her new shoes make her more tougher. ; )

Nice use of the # symbol. XD I think her new design looks awesome, and her attacks seem to pack more of a punch. One really odd thing I noticed in the trailer was that they added a mole on her chin. I'm guessing that was in Other M or something. :I

Are people complaining about her suit? Who? Anyways, samus is se.xy, capable, and a straight BAMF. The boots look cool if anything, last thing that hit my mind was "mmdemhighheels" I mean really, they have fu**ing rockets on them. Come on people. Plus she fights against characters with various actual powers, thats why I never liked zerosuit samus as a character much, its like, batman with out his cowl, cape, and belt. Or better yet, ironman as...stark, a guy in a two piece suit?
Any ways now shes got nore powerful gadgets that show she can kick ayuss with out her power suit.
How could there be anthing wrong with that?

I think most of it came from tumblr but the debate has been showing up at a few other places as wel. Then you´ve got people complaining about the complainers and so on.

I don´t really care all that much about it either, this miiiiight have been an excuse to draw Samus in her Zero Suit. :x

@Whoever So...tumblr the social justice white knight round table of justice dont like it? It seems to only be thungs that make themselves readily aware, forget that zero suit samus has been around for like, 10 plus years. Anyways, thats really annoying, mainly because its not really fair, why dont they complain and condemn sh** like those awful scantily clad online mmo's and sh**. Or again, what about bayonetta? Samus having badass jet boot heels is objectify-ee but EVERYTHING about bayonetta isnt?!

I think it´s because Samus doesn´t owe her popularity to her looks (at least not primarily) and is one of the few women in gaming to do so.
So there´s gonna be a lot more focus on Samus when Nintendo tries to showcase her body more (for example by giving her high heels when boots would do the same job and be more practical). Especially since male space fighters with full body armor don´t get the same treatment from gaming companies.

Well-known characters and events are often brought up in these discussions because to some people they represent bigger issues they want to fight.
However, since a lot of them tend to forget that most people lack the context of knowing about these issues, it often looks like they´re just picking famous things at random to b***h about them and interpret them in wrong ways (which may also happen sometimes).

So yeah, I kinda get where they´re coming from but I also have my own opinion.
I didn´t want to get too deep into this actually, this was just supposed to be a silly upload on this topic. :V

Thats true, and thats actually part of why I never liked zerosuit samus as a character, aside from being a 2nd version of the same person, which I had HOPED theyd do away with, o an extent.

But showing she can be **** in a skin tight suit thing isnt bad, and high heel jet boots which...actually just add to her EXISTING fu**ing high heels seems like a suuuper dumb thing to complain about, hahaaa geez.
I also dont really see that, I dont think people get the difference between explicit obvious '************' and a character just "looking a certain way" its almost contradictory to me, because we've got fu**in spidey joggin around in a tight *** suit, supes, bats, Whats really any different with samus? Not so much even the slightest cleavage, side bo.ob, under bo.ob, dat-back, or nothing with zero suit samus.
Plus, she then just gets a fu**in set of jet heels. Which, the design isnt even debatable, the things glow for christs sake, they arent exactly velvet red nor do they sparkle-

Well... they promised the new smash bros would be bigger than the last. So I guess that translated over to Samus' design IFYOUKNOWWHATIMEAN!

I´m not a big fan of the heels myself.
I just think it´s annoying when people treat it as a particularly outrageous example or a new low, when it´s not much of a development as compared to previous games and there are in fact much worse examples out there.

Basically, it gets used as a prime example of this trope because it´s so shiny and flashy and comes from a pretty popular game, but I personally don´t think it´s as bad as people make it out to be.
Well, I think it´s generally a great idea to encourage developers to put reasonable clothing on women, but there´s a difference to me between a justified general complaints about se.xist tendencies in gaming and a superficial outcry about something just because more attention has been brought to it.

Girls are just mad she has "se.xist" heels. She had them before. The girls are just jealous her b.oobs are even bigger. I'm no perv, it's what everyone's talking about.

samus never had high heels until other m, and then they had no purpose but to impede her. in smash 4, they actually have a purpose....

and everything about other m is awful
