I gave the show a shot. Watched the first 4 episodes. It has its moments and is genuinely funny at points, but when every episode ends with a children's morality lesson about the importance of friendship, I get a little dissapointed. That part shows who the real audience is and it's not adults. I get why it's appealing to a mature audience but it's not for me. I still get a crack out of the internal struggle of bronies as they come to terms of their fandom and overcome their guilt. Its artwork like this and other M.L.P. based memes that really entertain me. :)

I'm not a mad fanboy of this show either XD I've often watched childrens shows and this is just one more example... But I've got much spare time recently and this show is suprisingly entertaining. Let's see how this develops XD

I'm mostly watching reruns on TV (I'm watching pretty much everything on TV though) so i can't really tell but I think I'm through most of season 1... I wouldn't say it's the best show ever made but it's pretty enteraining, really adorable and suprisingly addicting. I really think they should rename it My Little Pony: Resistance is Futile XD

I think we've crossed the borders of everyone posting site-long essays now ^^ But I like your way of thinking, Diver. You're pretty smart, especially for a 13-year old. There seems to be a very fixed and specific image of masculinty nowadays that we are obliged to follow... Femininity however is much less defined sice it seems to be mostly consisting of bad stereotypes or stuff the society wants to overcome. Actually... why do I watch the show... huh... I don't have an answer to that... must be mind control or something.
