I kinda think their should be a fully evolved grass starter to balance it out. Oh well, it's weird, but it works.

I was happy that Charizard came back to the fray. But was like, ''Ok.'' with Greninja But I am kinda happy that I won't have to control the pokemon trainer just to do Charizard. Why? Because it gets REALLY ANNOYING when you have to switch out the pokemon just to do Charizard. So yeah, I freaking happy that when he dies, I won't have to go through that trouble, I'm ok if Squirtle and Ivysaur don't return. They weren't my favorites anyway. :/

We don't know if if Mewtwo is back after all Charizard becomes mega and maybe Mewtwo too if he's back

Pokemon trainer would have definitely been possible, of course, and now more than ever, but now characters that would swap out or change have a more equal chance to shine,
where as you couldnt use charizard during any full length matches competitivly or otherwise, because to help balance the trainer out. The pokemon would lose stamina during a fight, and lose actual attack damage and knockback.
Also, now we just need a grass evo, or mewtwo, then potentially we could have 6 pokemon to play as,a perfect number considering the games.

LOL, poor MewTwo, maybe soon, or as DLC. I just hope Charizard can actually fly to recover

I used chespin so I didn't connect much with Greninja but on reflection, i'm happy with his inclusion and charizard, good reprensetation of most of the Gens. I was hoping for Blazekin but that was very unlikely so I'm not upset about that or Mewtwo.

I find it cool that Charizard is back--as a single character! I really liked the Pokemon Trainer, but I'm fine that there isn't one in the upcoming Smash Bros. games. As for Greninja, I'm pretty darn excited! 8 )

They also released 400 sceenshots after the direct, the most significant being an assit trophey of the namco shooter, Galaxian or Galga, which is a good indecation of more Namco refrences and cameos (Pacman?!)

Still like Squirtle and Ivysaur more than Charizard, but I'm happy they added Greninja and not Mewtwo!

Though honestly, the exhaustion mechanic used for the Pokemon Trainer was terrible.
I used Ivysaur a lot while trying to beat the time of a specific Target Smash - stage.
Apparently, that exhausted Ivysour so much that it is ALWAYS EXHAUSTED no matter what I tried. It has been like that for 3 years or so!

Someone needs to make a gif of greninja turn around and put the "deal with it" sunglasses on him

To be honest, both of them do look boss...

In case you guys didn't know, brawl on the wii has a modification that requires an SD card, called PROJECT M. This puts in a new backround for the brawl screen, changes 3 of the stages, includes mewtwo from pokemon as well as roy from fire emblem, and creates new postures and outfits for the rest of the remaining characters. Notice: Do NOT go to online brawls while using this, and you MUST clear all of the custom-made stages. Go online on a search engine and look up project M. Last: to activate, go to the stage builder (on the normal brawl mode) and watch the magic happen. The beginning might freak you out a little bit, but it's just setting up.

:P But, honestly, Mew is best pokemon.

In ssbb there were 6 playable pokemon. and there are only 4 at the moment so they could add mewtwo and Diance or somthing..

i understand the trainer didn't do anything it was mostly the pokemon who did most of the work but poor ivysaur and squirtle

^The fact that he was in Melee but not Brawl is exactly the reason why people want him to return. It bothers some people that they can't play as their favorite character in the latest game, and I can understand that.

Eh the pokemon group is always a threat in SSB but I gotta say Fox is my personal favorite and best

In the "Challengers from the Shadows" video, it hid a Pacman (classic) figure in the clouds, as soon as Greninja dissapeared in his Water Bolt. It's REALLY hard to find though!!

I hate Mewtwo, he's bad, Greninja was one of the best starters imo. Cause I'm basically Greninja, but YOUNGER!! xD

I was pretty pissed when greninja was revealed as a character, I thought pretty much the same thing mewtwo said, but instead of thinking*mewtwo should have been released instead* I thought*why not put sceptile into the game?*
