Seeing #orca s jump around and do tricks can be quite amusing, because it's different. But have you ever thought of how they feel about it? #MarinePark s are a #nightmare to these innocent, #beautiful creatures. They are highly disagreed with, and I have the reasons why.
one) Premature death: The lifespan for orcas in the wild is for males, sixty to seventy years, and for females, eighty to over one hundred. In captivity, the orca's average lifespan is nine years.

<:( Ah, this is the fate for many poor animals....

I think this one orca started k.illing the trainers because it couldn't stand the small space...

Two) Swimming: In the wild an orca can swim up to one hundred miles a day. To be able to swim that distance, captive orcas will have to swim the circumference (outside) of their tank up to around one-thousand, nine-hundred times.
Three: Stress.
Because of stress, orcas chew on iron bars and the cement sides of their tanks, breaking their teeth. (more)

Four) Beaching themselves: I'm sure we all know that on trick where the whale goes into the shallow pool of the tank and lifts it's head and tail. If they are left on that platform for too long, their own weight can crush their internal organs. (more)

Five) Capture:
Orcas are herded into a 3 acre net by explosives, speedboats and airplanes. The calves are then taken away from their mothers and forced into slings, being taken away forever. If the mothers become a problem, they are k.illed. Right in front of their babies. Orcas also die in the nets in the process. The worst part is, the people cut open the orca's stomachs, fill them with rocks, tie anchors to their tails ans sink them so their deaths are never discovered.

Yeah, humans are teribble to wildlife and thats an understatement. Sharks get their fins cut off (shark fin soup) and get tossed back into the ocean, but they cant breathe because they need to move in order to breathe.

You may think they are fed well and loved. You're wrong. Orcas are fed thawed, dead fish and since they can't obtain water from it, they are given gelatine instead. It is unhealthy and un-natural for them. Tilikum (orca responsible for 3 trainer deaths) alone consumes 83 pounds of gelatine a day. And when being trained or performing, if one orca does a trick wrong, all of them aren't rewarded. This causes fights towards the orca failing and they get badly injured.
Marine parks are no place for orcas. They're taken away from their families and homes, ab.used and can't live to the extent and be free like a wild orca. They truly belong to be free in the wild, not cramped in tiny tanks and forced to do tricks their entire lives.

good point but pets like cats and dogs are "domestic" not captive. I do agree that it'd be a little mean to not allow your pet outside, but cats and dogs aren't much of a feral species like a bobcat or wolf.
