Like the ice, time seemed to freeze. Both sides awaited the other to make their move. Then, refusing to waste time, Kai rocketed from the ledge, her sword pointed outward. Carina rose her sword in defence, blocking the attack. ZK had followed Kai's lead and jumped down, landing in front of Peter who'd backed away.
Void made a swing at Kai, but she ducked and leapt forward, slamming into Void, knocking her to the ground. Seeing this, Carina tackled Kai as she went to strike Void.
"Z..zk..! I'm not going to fight you!" Peter exclaimed, despite the sword in his hand which was shaking. "We're friends!" he added. "We were, but not anymore" Zk answered with an evil smile as he withdrew his sword. Peter shook his head "D-don't say that!" he exclaimed, but Zk wouldn't listen. He lunged forward, sword raised. Peter blocked the attack much like Carina had blocked Kai's.

As their duel continued, Carina and Kai's swords locked, Seeing her chance, Void jumped on Kai from behind, breaking the sword lock. "Get off!" Kai raved, grabbing Void and throwing her over her shoulder into Carina, knocking them both to the ground. "Humph, call that a challenge?" Kai jeered, standing over them. "No, but this is!" Void told her. Suddenly, a cyan coloured aura blasted from her palm, hitting Kai back. She slid across the icy floor and came to a halt at the far wall. Carina and Void got up. Void charged another cyan aura in her hand. Carina glanced at it. "Hmm, let me try" she said "Are you sure you can control it now?" Void asked, Carina nodded and focused. A blue and purple aura came to life in her clenched left fist. Kai picked herself up "Three can play at that game!" she announced as dark purple aura flared up in her hands. Zk looked at it. "Huh? She can do that? Maybe i can too!" Zk said. Without a second to spare, Peter rushed forward and grabbed Zk's wrist.

"Hey let go!" Zk exclaimed, grabbing Peter's arm with his free hand and throwing him against the wall. "Oh no Peter!" Void exclaimed "Go! I'll take care of Kai!" Carina told her. Void nodded and ran toward Zk, blocking his sword with hers and hitting him back with an aura charge. "Hmm, perfect!" Kai announced as she suddenly threw both charges, one at Carina the other at Void and Peter. Carina quickly dodged and ran for her friends. "Guys get down!" she ordered as she came between them and Kai's attack. She raised her hands up in front of her. Blue and purple aura flared out from them, creating a shield, blocking but also absorbing Kai's attack. "What? But how?" Kai exclaimed. Void came out from behind the barrier and hurled a cyan charge at the duo, knocking them to the frozen floor. "It's no use! We need to go!" Zk exclaimed as they got up "You might have won this round, but next time you won't be so lucky!" Kai warned as the pair used ender pearls to leave the room quickly.

With the battle over, Carina withdrew the shield. Suddenly blue sparks crackled around her body as a result. She staggered forward and fell to one knee. "Are you ok?" Peter asked "...I'm fine....fudge that hurt.." Carina answered as the sparks subsided. "How'd you do that?" Void asked "..Long story...Me and Wendy have been working on it for a while now. It's a pretty good move...but the only problem with it is that i take half the damage from any attack i block" Carina explained, standing up. She went over and took the next four eyes of ender as well as the key eye. "Right, let's get back to the others" she added. Void and Peter nodded and they left the room.
The trio returned to where they'd fallen through. There was no sign of their attackers. Some time later, Notch, Matt and Viper returned. "We couldn't find another way down" Matt explained "But we did find these" Viper told them, throwing down three ender pearls which they used to return to the surface.

"So any luck?" Matt asked "Well, yes and no. Yes because we found them, no because we're not the only ones looking for them. Herobrine sent two people to get them, so he's on to us" Carina answered. Before anyone could reply, Notch took out the now glowing map. Once again the key eye of ender rose up and burned new markings into the map, revealing the third location. "Looks like we're headed to Dry-Bone Desert. Since Herobrine now knows we're searching for these, we should move quickly" Notch told them. The team nodded and left the chamber, heading southeast, leaving Ice Ridge behind them.

Not far from Ice Ridge, Kai and Zk returned to Endermage. She turned to face them. Seeing that they were once again empty handed she said "You failed again? Master will not be pleased...". Suddenly Endermage heard a voice in her head. "Oh how right you are Ebdermage. Bring them back now" Enderon ordered "Y-yes Master" Endermage replied, taking hold of Kai and Zk and returned to the End.
