When I say, 'comics for normal people', I mean comics that can be enjoyed by the majority of people, and not specifically to nerdoms and the like. They might be better for Colors, and the comic for the paper HAS to fall into this category. Thus, conflict.
Don't get me wrong, I love drawing all that Sherlock/misc. nerd junk, and there's not much rebuttal to it. But still.

The Colors! Gallery moderators will look at it as soon as possible.

Normal people are lame, anyway.
Still, I think it would be neat to see some new comics and stuff from you.

Gaining the interest of an audience can be hard, especially when you have no idea what they're looking for in a humorus comic. I once heard of one artist who was fired from a newspaper because, while his cartoons were creative and funny, the newspaper editors wanted less subtle satire and instead more in-your-face annoying political ranting against those that the editors did not like. Sometimes humor can be TOO subtle and sometimes it can be TOO broad, you just have to find a good balance. I agree with CrazyRiverOtter, it would be neat to see more comics and stuff.

Screw normal people, I say! >D<
..unfortunately, the people accepting your comics into the newspaper will most likely not have the same opinion. So, I suggest you do something of a questionnaire and ask people around your school what kind of things make them laugh. Sounds like a pretty weird idea, I know, but I'd still try it. :P Good luck, regardless.
