it occurred to me that the katakana for near's name is pronounced "ni-a" which sounds similar to "nya" and then this happened

aside from the terrible name pun i also always thought near was a little sh/t sometimes. i dunno i just definitely see him as a cat haha

hM i may do the rest of the death note characters as furries at some point... near was the only one i could think of a design for on the spot tho i'll have to think a bit about the others
