^I dunno. Making her an as.sist just to see her randomly appear in gameplay for a brief moment seems pointless to me. I'm fine with the trophy.

Hmm as for other KI:U candidates i can only guess Magnus,Dark Pit(who i doubt considering he'd be a clone, Viridi, and Paulintina. I doubt Hades or Madusa. Personally i want Geno but since he was made by Square idk :/

Well, she did only appear in one chapter, right? Im still hoping Magnus has a chance. :U Cause with Palutena that would be awkward, considering shes Pit's final smash (or still might be) and his source of power. :u

There was a Palutena Leak photo and Pittoo would ne an alternate picture for Pit.

^I know about the "leaked" photo for Palutena, but I don't buy it. The techniques used in the image to make it look real stick out in my opinion.

it's not that she's the only other option. Palutena's been in kid icarus since the 1st game :p thats why she seems more likley. if phosphora, magnus, phanatos, ext. were all in earlier games, i think they'd have a better shot... and the kid icarus franchice probably wouldn't have been stopped for so long :T

Don't get me wrong, I like Palutena as a character, but it feels like if they made her playable in Smash Bros., that it would be ignoring the significant relationship between her and Pit. Mario and Peach may be a couple, but Palutena is Pit's GODDESS. I don't think anyone could justify Pit striking against the person he practically worships, except in extreamly dire circumstances like chapter 20 (even then he's not supposed to harm her). That's why it bothers me that so many people assume she's going to be in there. Sorry for ranting. -_-

Personally I´m not sure whether KI even needs another rep. This is not about the game´s quality, it´s just that a lot of its more interesting characters apperar in only 1 or 2 chapters, lose thier importance in the latter half of the game or aren´t known at all to people who didn´t play the game up to that half. Additionally, the Pit/Palutena dynamic is pretty important to both characters and I´m not sure if making both of them playable would do either of them justice.

But I´m open to all ideas so I´m just gonna wait and see what happens. :)

You have to admit, she is one nice looking trophy, and it's true there are other candidates.

I kinda have to agree with you in that I wouldn't be suprised if Pit is the only rep for his franchise. I still thought Phosphora could've been a good option, not because she played a big role or anything, but because she could at least represent the Forces of Nature while a character like Thanatos could represent the Underworld army. It makes a little more sense than just adding a random character from the game. In the end, it's all just speculation, but it could've happened. Sakurai has proven people wrong before.

In fact, he seems to be making a habbit out of it. It's like he really hates being predictable. :P

Not everyone can be in the next smash and it was really predictable that she wouldn't be in it.

Magnus sounds good, I guess. He DOES appear in more than one chapter. As an ally, as a playable character, and then as a boss, I think.

Still kinda upset about Phosphora. Didn't know Sakurai could be a troll when he wants...

:/ i guess the game boy version of kid icarus is just going to be the "super mario bros. movie" of the kid icarus series now, and people are just going to pretend it never happened and just skip right over it, even though the 3 sacred treasures came from that game, which btw could also serve as a great new final smash :p

^The three sacred treasures were actually in the original game. More interesting is that the GBA game supposedly had Zeus in it. I really wonder why they didn't incorperate him into Uprising. :I

I'd almost guess the three sacred treasures would be his final smash this time, especially since the mirror shield is no longer in his moveset.

Just because Palutena has a "Founding Character" reputation doesn't give her any better chance than Magnus. Throughout the SSB series they take people from old games and make them new again. Ness, Ice Climbers, Pit. All of them were brought back from old games. IF they were to bring up an old character it would more likely be a character from a diffrent old game not even we know about now. After all, Sakurai said nobody knew what was coming. We had no clue Wii Fit trainer was coming and he/she was added. Also if Palutena was added they would have to change Pit's Smash Coin attack.

^In that department, I expect (and hope) that Takamaru would be included. I guess Little Mac counts since he was around since the NES, though his series had already been revived through Punch-Out Wii. Sakurai also said he wants to include more of these characters, so who knows what he'll come up with.
