Spritelings are small creatures, no bigger than 2 or 3 inches tall. While they're often confused with pixies, a similar type of Faerie, there some key differences: their skin color, wings, and size. Spritelings are considerably smaller than pixies, which normally stand around 6 or 7 inches. Pixies have thin, translucent wings while spritelings have thicker, more solid wings similar to those of butterflies. Spritelings are also much more varied in skin color, which is indicative of a spriteling's magic abilities. A green spriteling is capable of manipulating vegetation while a blue spriteling has control over water. The stripes on a spriteling's hat (which they all wear) are used to identify the region where they were born. The spritelings shown, having been born in a lakeside village, have blue-striped hats and blue markings on their wings as well as blue streaks in their hair.
Ugh, lazy background is lazy. These guys honestly looked cuter on paper.
