[SPOILER ALERT] (Also sorry to the many fans that don't read Homestuck.)
So Caliborn has pretty much been confirmed to be Lord English, but isn't it odd how no one has actually seen LE yet? (Hussie isn't anything more than a running joke in HS, I don't think he counts.) Now consider this: Caliborn has taken control of the narrative, right? And it's inherently obvious that he's the reason for Act 1's odd pacing. (More in Comments!)
#Homestuck #Caliborn #Theory (Fun fact! Caliborn is my inspiration for the tilde in my signatures that people started ripping off.)
The Colors! Gallery moderators will look at it as soon as possible.

Now consider the fact that Caliborn has used his control over the narrative to create the image that he's become this all-powerful indestructable thing (Lord English) in order to scare and intimidate everyone. It seems like something he would do, right? He's shown time and time again to be childish and immature in his conquest.

Ms. Paint is real, all those dead ghosts he barfed on were real, the horrorterrors he killed were real, all the space cracks from the barf that everyone sees are real. Does the theory explain these, and if so, how?
[soz about the non-3DS comment, it's so much easier typing on a keyboard and my 3DS can't even connect to the wifi where I am]

^ He controls the narrative. Is what we see the same thing as what they see? Not entirely. When I say he used the narrative control to make Lord English up, I mean that he placed a much fiercer and terrifying image of himself over what the characters actually saw, which was just little ol' Caliborn.

So we see (and the characters that haven't seen him think) Lord English, but they see Caliborn. I used the same trick in my comic, we see a character as real and we are shown events he manipulates when he is in fact imaginary and the events he effected were actually done by the character that imagined him.

Alright, I thought you meant that Lord English's actions are entirely just scary myth created by Caliborn. So instead, Lord English as we know him is just Caliborn making himself look scarier, but still doing the same stuff?

Yup, I probably should have written the theory better XoD

Did you submit an anon-ask to bladekindEyewear's ask box with this theory? (Assuming you know who I'm talking about) One popped up pretty recently that has the same basic concept, and it reminded me of this. He...agrees in spirit, I guess?
