Mermaids are often portrayed as very humanlike so lately I've been trying to come up with designs that focus on the animal side of these creatures instead.
I like drawing shark mermaids the most. I imagine them as ruthless predators who don't try to charm sailors with their voice of looks so I can draw them as creepy as I like~

Looks like a creepy, realistic version of Ruto/Lulu from Zelda. I love it
