There creepy as he.ll. You kno what I think makes them so creepy? They look so sad and tormented. And they sound like there crying. Idk what the heck there supposed to be but I feel sorry for them.
Edit: woah wtf happened i lost over 100 followers... Lol I guess my last monster scared them a bit too much XD

Maybe Ghasts are lost spirits that are sad because they couldn't find their way to heaven. So they are forever stuck in Hell. And the reason that they attack you is because they don't want the same thing to happen to you or Hell is controlling them and making them attack you. (yes I know it's called the Nether...But the Nether is practically Hell in minecraft...)

OMFG I LOVE IT! AND MINECRAFT! and dam right creepy as he.ll the worst for me is how they have permanent tear stained faces... if you can call the blob a face XD and the extremely loud wailing!btw i love the aspect of it being translucent its a clever addition

The thing that creeps me out is: The FIRST time I went to the nether, I heared those Ghasts. As I was getting some glowstone, a Ghast randomly popped up right in front of my face, shooting fireballs with those creepy as h.ell eyes. I nearly fell off my chair. Some creepy glitch o.O
