nice. btw for the between-the-layers technique, i might do a tutorial later, but off the top of my head, you could watch my black and white batman painting, my x-wing rough draft, or the flames on my optimus prime truck, in slow-motion.

basically all i do is this: if i want something between layers 1&2, i draw it on both, and make it slightly skinnier on layer 1 [or wider on 2] but they have to be exactly the same shade, so it works best with cartoons.
