SMG3 by Thisisausername

Just hoping for another possible sequel.
If Super Mario Galaxy 3 is released, I sure hope it's nothing like the 2nd. It would be nice if it was more like the first, with no dopey, sparkly, not-a-care-in-the-world, happy-go-lucky fun and games, which is typical in the Mario universe. And an actual story line (again, like the original) would be perfect. Not that my opinion is important or anything...but still.

#smg, #supermariogalaxy, #mario, #space.

By the way, that's supposed to be the 100-year comet from SMG1.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but Nintendo will never make another SMG game. They didn't even plan on making SMG2 in the first place because they were out of ideas, which is why SMG2 uses many elements and references to previous Mario games. I think if they ever make a new SMG game, it most likely wouldn't be as great as the first two games. Personally, I don't want another installment in the SMG series. I don't hate the series or anything, I just think Nintendo should focus on something new. Every Mario game they've made the last few years have been sequels for other Mario games, such as NSMBU and SM3DW. I really think Nintendo should make something new for once.

I agree...something new would be nice. But in my opinion, SMG was the best mario game since...well, ever. But you're probably right. If they did make another sequel, it would probably be full of crap like the others. Shorter levels, stupid new power-ups, easy boss battles. Oh well...I hate to say it, but I suppose I'm no longer in the age group Nintendo is aiming for.

I agree. Nintendo games used to be really original and extremely hard. Nowadays, they're mostly rehashes and sequels that are really easy. I was really disappointed when I bought NSMB2. It was so freaking easy and unoriginal. SM3DW was okay though. Sadly, if they made the Mario games any harder, critics would probably give it bad score like they did with DKCTF. DKCTF was actually really great. It's one of the few new games I've played that has been so creative, unique, atmospheric, difficult and fun! Whoops, I got a little off-topic, sorry for that. xD

I've never played DKCTF, but I hear it's pretty good. I do have DKCR, though, and that was a great game. Just the right amount of challenge. I got NSMB2 as well, and I gotta say, you're right, it was disappointing. And as for the million coins thing...not even gonna try.

The only thing you get after collecting one million coin is a new title screen. I don't find the point in wasting so much time just to get something little than that.

BTW, DKCTF is actually MUCH better than DKCR! Not saying that DKCR was bad though, but DKCTF is almost perfect. It's like a true sequel to the SNES DKC trilogy, a DKC4. DKCR never fdlt like a real sequel to DKC in my opinion... DKCTF is really great though, I'm sure you'll love it. Another thing that almost made me explode with hapiness is that David Wise composed the soundtrack of DKCTF! (He's the person who composed the music for the SNES DKC games, mostly DKC2). Some of DKCTF's music is almost as good as or maybe even better than the music from DKC2! I was really suprised. The music heard in Amiss Abyss definitely tops Aquatic Ambience from the first DKC game. If you're a big DKC fan like me, I'm sure you'll absolutely love this game. : )

By the way, thanks for following!

You're very welcome. :)
Unfortunately, I don't have a Wii U, so I don't think I'll be playing it.
It's nice to see someone who appreciates quality video game music. Which, by the way, was probably my favorite part about SMG(1). You can tell they really put good time, money and creativity into that. It practically sounds like they hired Mozzart to supervise.

By the way, I even have the main SMG theme on sheet music (for piano). I can play the first few lines, but the rest is just so...intimidating.

Yea, SMG1 was really a great game! I remember first time I played it, at that time, SM64 was the newest Mario game I had played, then I saw SMG. I can't describe how impressed I was! It felt like entering another world or something. I got really obsessed with SMG! First time I cleared it with both Mario and Luigi took me a week. I cleared it the second time on the weekend of the same week. I've NEVER cleared another such long game that fast before. I still can't believe it. xD Even though I only played it much for one week, it felt like it was three months. SMG will always be my top 2 fav Mario game. Top one is SMSixtyFour. SMSixtyFour was the first game I ever played in my life. I still really love it! For some reason, I think it feels most realistic of every Mario game I've played. I mean, you can do and run wherever you want, you can select mission, etc.
BTW, if you get the money, buy a Wii U. It's much greater than many people think! Nintendo did a really bad job in advertising it.

Lol, I reached the comment limit. xD But I'm sure you could make much longer comments before. ._.

Holy cow. You actually beat the game in a weekend. I could never do that, way too little dedication and skill. Plus, I'm 14 and thus living with my parents, and my video games are limited to two hours a day.
I played SM64, but the DS version. It was a great game. Despite the bad sound effects and pre-two-thousands (idk when it was made) animation, it felt so...real. Maybe it's just because I was like nine or ten when I played it.
I actually found a pretty intersting glitch on one of the levels (forgot what is was called. It's the one with the wrecked ship and the giant eel swimming around.) Playing as Wario, go down into the underwater cave and get the power-up so you're Metal Wario. Then, quickly, run out of the cave and to the very tip of the ship's bow. If it works, the water should instantly drain. Maybe it was only the DS one, but I'd say it's worth a try.

I'm 15, but I can play video games as much as I want. xD
I didn't really like SM64DS. It was a downgrade from the original IMO. The controls are EXTREMELY awkward, the voice clips are terrible quality (Mario sounds like a freaking 5-year-old), and I don't like the idea of being able to play as Wario and Yoshi. Adding Luigi would be enough. It was still an okay remake, but it's pretty bad compared to the original. I was grown up to the original. Was my first game ever. I remember when I got my Nintendo SixtyFour, I was four years old, and I used to play it really often. I even thought I was Mario in real life. xD Awww, the memories.

Yes, the sound was horrible. Freaking 5-year-old is a good way to put it. If I ever get the chance, I should play the original.

Words cannot express my love for this piece, or the amount of how much I agree with wanting SMG3. They should make it for 3DS somehow and dang, you should be hired as one of the artists. Your work is out of this world. Thank you for inspiring me and shining your creativity with everyone on Colors 3D!
