A little thing I came up with after reading TOSOTH (The Other Side of the Heart):
Selris looked at Correy, smiling. But then his smile faded as he started thinking. He thought about every reason he loved Correy. He could see the other troll c.ock his head slightly in confusion, but he payed no attention. Instead, he thought about every little detail about his matesprit. The way a bit of his hair covered up his right eye and even though Selris would love to see the other, he never bothered to move it. He thought about how the sleeves of Correy's turtleneck would dangle below his hands because they were too long. He thought about how whenever Correy smiled, his face would always turn a light shade of mint-green. He thought of how when Correy was embarassed, he'd cover up his mouth and nose with the neck of his sweater, blush, and then Selris would usually lightly kiss his matesprit's forehead. He thought of how usually Correy would talk so quiet and stutter. He then thought of how there are some reasons why he loves Correy that he can't even explain.
But then his blank expression became a small frown as a thought flashed into his head:
"Why does he love me?"
