The Stormalong and Ooo Theory by HEDROVER
Ok, so I saw this one half a year ago over the internet, the only reason I'm posting it is to elaborate on it. The theory is that Flapjack takes place at the exact same time as Adventure Time does. Stormalong Harbor is made from bits and scraps from the Mushroom War, and "Candied Island" is actually The Land of Ooo. -The reason Finn and Jake have never found Stormalong is because Finn is afraid if the Ocean.
-Because Lolly has seen the Candy Kingdom on "Candied Island", he modeled Candy Wife after Princess Bubblegum.
-Pendleton Ward WORKED ON FLAPJACK, so he could have taken this setting and all of these 'coincidences' and worked them into Adventure Time on purpose.
-Most of the weird looking characters and creatures in Flapjack are also a result of The Mushroom War.
-Flapjack and a lot of the others at Stormalong are obviously human, so this could be where Finn originated from somehow. Flapjack was also abandoned as a baby and has similar features as Finn, so they may be related in some way.

Here's another fact to solidify this theory. Ice King is voiced by Tom Kenny, who voices SpongeBob in SpongeBob SquarePants. Captain K'nuckles is voiced by Brian Doyle-Murray, who also voices The Flying Dutchman in SpongeBob.

it actually sounds pretty convincing, it's been a while I've seen Flapjack and I've lost trak of adventure time xD
oh and guess what, people believe that Gravity Falls takes place before the Mushroom War. Why they say that? Because Candy has the same voice of BMO, and because of that they are making a bunch of theories xD

I know im late to the party, but I have one last piece of evidence this could be true. In the episode about flapjack going west knuckles mentions how they could fall off the edge of the world, if you look at the world of adventure time it has a HUGE crater that destorys about 1/10 of the world. Just saying...

and to everyone saying both shows are made by the same person, Adventure Time was created by Pendleton Ward and Flapjack was created by Thurop Von Orman, they probably both worked on each others shows though, like how JG Quintel worked on Flapjack before CN picked up Regular Show.
