Young glowans have paler hair (it starts out white!), and their pupils? Haven't shown up yet, nope.
All glowans grow up in the accidentally named orphanaschools, where they learn everything they need to know before moving out, and sometimes they also form friendships for life, even though they might move away from each-other once their pupils show up.
So, #Tayda, #Siini and #Dazzo all grew up in the same orphanaschool as kids. Yeah.
Karyn, Bieli and Vemri grew up in another one.

And it's the antennae that determine their biological gender (straight for females, curvier for males), though sometimes there might weirdos with asymmetric antennae.
Their gender identity, however, may be a separate thing. So yeah.
