REZ was a normal animal with miner abilitys of others but was kidnapped by Dr.Eggman and changed in to a robot but Eggman made a mistake and made a error in the bot data makeing REZ completly self aware with all his memorys still in his new body's mind then REZ planed his escape and got away from Eggman and stole the 8th emerald that is used to keep his body alive like a heart
