i have a shiny bug type actually. but it's a shelmet...my first shiny was a shelmet. i dont even like shelmet that much (ill admit it has grown on me since i caught the shiny one)

youve mentioned not knowing what IVs are before, so ill try to tell you what they are (im terrible at explaining things so you mignt be even more confused after this lol)
theyre basically a pokemon's genes.
there are six IVs - HP, attack, defense, sp. attack, sp. defense, and speed.
the higher the IV, the higher that stat is.
3I is the highest an IV can be, with O being the lowest.
a pokemon with perfect IVs (all 3I) will have higher stats thsn one with non perfect/terrible IVs.

IVs are different from EVs (effort values), IVs cannot be changed. EVs can be trained with super training
