Okay, I'm SICK OF SEEING PEOPLE BASH FOLKS LIKE WOLFPAW.
First off, there is a difference between those three things.
I'll go into detail about each one.
-COPYING-
Alright, copying can be done in many ways. This could be done as a not-so-popular/new artist is 'inspired' by a popular artist, so they practically redraw that artist's drawings. Sure, they might give credit, but copying isn't really tolerated in the Colors community.
I personally don't have a problem with copying as long as they aren't stealing.
-STEALING-
This is similar to copying, but they ARE quite different.
Stealing is often when someone traces another artist's work and claim that it's "original artwork."
NatsumeWolf(On dA) has had some of her art stolen to the extent of someone getting a TATTOO of her tribal art.
Did they give credit? No.
Did they claim it as theirs? YES.
After some persuading, the stealer then admitted the fact that they stole.
My art has been stolen MANY times, but as long as they don't sell it, I'm fine.
-OVERUSED/COMMON DESIGNS-
This one p!sses me off.
Take Chumley for example:
-Black fur
-Blue eyes
VERY common design. Yet everyone was flipping out about how Chumley was a copy of everyone's oc's.
It was fine until he began to ACT like Kenta.
Then it became copying.
Anyways, what I'm trying to say is that solid/naturally coloured wolves are common character designs.
I have a character that wears a mask. VERY common design, yet people claim I copied their OC...

Like I said, VERY COMMON DESIGN.

Anyway, sorry for the rant, I'm just in a lot of pain and it felt nice to be a b!tch.

I agree with you completely on the Chumley thing. His design was fine all up until he became a recolor of Kenta. Even then all the hate was too much. Twas Oakfur's battle and his fanclub flipped the truck out >.>

and the thing about wolfpaw- yes, people did get mad about the design, BUT he constantly joined every rp and ever even went. and when he did he just got on everyones nerves. then he started TRACING my older friends design and saying it was his own and deleting her comments of protest.
