What I do for BGs is start off with a black BG.I just start doing a random design on another layer.Then go to a different layer and do another random design.Now that your designs are in seperate layers,use the thinest eraser and erase one of your designs diagonally.Go to the other layer and do the same thing.
Not much help but IDK try it I guess. :/
