Valentine's gay by DameyC

Clyde is cupid this year, he thought it would be funny to shoot a arrow at me and make me crush on his older brother XD

Me: Come here Lucy ;)

Lucifer: god dam.mit Clyde if he kisses me your dead!

Clyde >:D

BTW How do you people think of the way I draw people? Any tips on how to make them better, i'd like to add ears to them but I suck at drawing ears :p

Constuctive criticism is welcome.

Haha, this is awesome! ^_^ Now all I need is to have a cupid on my side... >:D And those wings look so much better than what I drew! You should draw the wings on our collab. Mine look nothing like feathers. -_-

As for ears, the only way to get better at them is to draw them a lot while looking at a reference. Or cover them with long hair. :3 As for other tips, you maybe try focusing on where the limbs bend, like arms and legs in motion, and trying more dynamic poses. I've found those poses more challenging and they'ves helped me improve my anatomy drawing.

I have a style? XP If you can learn anything from how I draw, go right ahead! I'm always trying to improve, so I don't really feel like I have a set style. The Catoon Guy has a style that never changes, but I try new things and so sometimes my art isn't as recognizable as being mine. You have a certain way of drawing people that's your style, but if you want to improve, changing things around is really the only way to grow. Don't be afraid of a challenge. For example, it's not like I got that beach dude down on the first try. There's a lot of shaping and reshaping. It's harder than those people with set styles who can sketch out a character quickly, but it does mean that I become more confident with my art and what I can draw.

Haha, I was just thinking how creapy it would be if a person in real life came up to you with giant hearts for eyes. I wouldn't think love spell, I'd think run! XD

You know, looking at a picture of a real person and copying it might help you get a sense of proportions. I try to picture a painting in my head before I make it and I'll sometimes sketch it out. I'll then go and start a new painting where I actually draw it out.

And that sounds good. I look forward to seeing what you add in a couple days. :3

Well, I'll try to add what I can and get it back to you asap so that we can hopefully finish before you go. I mean, if it doesn't work out, that's okay, but I'd like for us to try. I'll also try to copy what you did on the red wings so I can learn how to do the feather effect myself too. If this ends up being too much extra with the move, just let me know. I know moving can be stressful.

I added some details to the two angels so now everyone is there. Should we add more details or do shading and who does what?

Rogue Ranger

26 Feb, 2014, 3:51 am

I'll see what I can come up with as far as details and I might try adding a glow or shading. I'll make a copy though in case I don't like how that part comes out. I'll let you know soon!

Rogue Ranger

Sorry it took so long! So I added some sparkles, but because of the empty space above the center angel, I decided to try having them above, like sparkle dust. I also tried some shading/details to some of the angels/people but not all. Let me know if I'm going in the right direction and I can do the other two. Also, any other ideas you have to improve it? Darker shadows? More light effects? More details? Etc?

Rogue Ranger

01 Mar, 2014, 6:52 am

Alright, then I'll finish the other two the way I did the others. Hmmm...I'm not sure what type of smoke to add (don't really have experience drawing smoke). Did you want to draw that part? I'll let you know when I've shaded/sparkled the other two. How much more time until your move?

Rogue Ranger

01 Mar, 2014, 8:12 pm

They couldn't postpone the move until after graduation? Well, I guess they must have their reasons. But I know how you must feel because I have friends here that I'd miss if I suddenly left too.

Btw, I added the rest of the shading and lighting effects, though of course add more or less shading/lighting if you feel it needs tweeking. I tried smoke but failed, so I didn't save that part, so hopefully you have better luck at it than me! :3

Yeah..And Thanks. It Means Alot.

Rogue Ranger

03 Mar, 2014, 12:53 am

Were we going to have the painting in 3D? I tried making the smoke look more misty because I thought it looked better in 3D, but if you'd prefer 3D, then it probably doesn't matter as much. I'll let you decide. Also, do you think it needs anything else? I thought of Baby also swooping in from the left, but his black fur didn't fit well and I think angels is fine. Whenever it's done, I think I'll make a cover on the top layer and make people go to your gallery to see the original (like with the new year painting). What do you think?

Rogue Ranger

03 Mar, 2014, 6:13 am

I honestly can't think of anything else to add, so I guess it's time to think of a title and description that explains the whole angel and people. And I'm still debating over covering the one I upload because I'm not convinced people will go to your gallery otherwise. I'll give it some thought though.

Rogue Ranger

04 Mar, 2014, 2:30 am

I like the title Helping Angels. :3 Though, it's been so long since we started, so I forgot the symbolism. Maybe you can write the description draft by editing the painting we already have uploaded there and I'll tweek it after? Oh, and I'll upload the covered version right now there so you can see it and tell me if you think it'll get people to go to your gallery.

Rogue Ranger

04 Mar, 2014, 2:34 am

Or the title could be "Bringing Hope To The Hopeless". :D Yes? No? Okay, I'll let you pick.

Rogue Ranger

05 Mar, 2014, 7:19 am

I think the description is perfect and a great message! So, did we decide on a title and an upload date/time? I'll try to coordinate my upload with yours so that they will go to your gallery right when you upload it. Oh, though I just realized, if there's room in the description, maybe add line below saying it's a collab with me. After all this time and effort, it's finally almost time! :D

Rogue Ranger

06 Mar, 2014, 3:25 am

Sorry, I've been so busy with school, one of the cats is injured, our fridge broke down and we discovered an insect nest in our pantry. I'm PST, which means it's about 7:25pm as I type this and it'll show it being written in your time. I'm thinking we're three hours apart, making it almost nine thirty there. So just tell me the time in your time and I'll do it three hours before that. Just remember that I will be in school if you choose something like four your time, which would be one my time. :3

Rogue Ranger

06 Mar, 2014, 6:26 am

I have an idea! Let's make a unique tag so that people can just click on it and go straight from my gallery to yours and not have to search your username. Do you use the tag #DameyC?

Rogue Ranger

06 Mar, 2014, 6:27 am

Okay, it's not being used yet so let's do that, just somewhere in your description.

Rogue Ranger

07 Mar, 2014, 2:14 am

Colors censors more than five numbers (6 or more and all get censored) I think to prevent friend code exchange. And, yes, you are correct in your time zone skills. :3 Wow, so you must be really far east then. Hmmm... No wonder I miss you most days, because you're in bed before I've even started dinner. Well, then, should we try for 8-8:3Opm your time tomorrow (Friday, four to four thirty pm my time) or later, or should we try noon my time Saturday (four your time, easy math)?

Rogue Ranger

07 Mar, 2014, 2:18 am

And, yes, we'll both have #DameyC in our descriptions. Mine will say "Click #DameyC to see..." so that people will go to yours easier by clicking the tag, but you could just burry yours anywhere in the description because it's just used to tag your painting and not as a link people have to click on (because obviously they're already there). :D

Rogue Ranger

07 Mar, 2014, 4:57 am

Okay, 4:3O it is! :D Hmmm... let's see, right now you have 45 followers, so I'll see if that number goes up after tomorrow. :3
