As for genre of music, it varies greatly with me. I usually like songs of random choice. If you'd like, I'll list a few of my favorites - warning you know that one or two might be plain audio.

Oh neh, I think it actually makes it easier when people reply on my latest paintings. You definitely should check out Hitchhiker's, though it does have a bit of mildly adult humor in it. Obviously I wasn't faltered by that. xD All the Hitchhiker's books are unbelievably hilarious, and it is more than worth the read.
I'll stop nerding out on random book fandoms now. ewe
