It's albeit different than what the original plan seemed to be (once again, sorry for shooting that idea down...), but I think it's a good idea, and with your talent, it can be executed perfectly. : 3

Hmm. Okay.. So the basis is...hmmmm...
Aha. It gets kinda weird, and would involve a little reality, bee-tee-dubbz.

Okay.

So one day or something like that, let's say... You are on the eShop, and find a free game called "Mal" that has an icon of a very nicely detailed, let's say, cute-ish (maybe) robot. Of course, out of eagerness for a free game, you download it without a second thought. It downloads almost instantly after you tap "download" you check the HOME menu and never see it. You presume it just glitched.
But it actually installed a malware that sucked the data out of every game you've ever played, and even many you haven't (even the Miis and Colors OCs). It takes the maps/the game world and protaganists from it (without your knowledge).
(These characters are self-aware, and see themselves as they are real, living, breathing creatures/people.)
The screen goes blue on the 3ds, and it shuts down. You try to play it again and again, but it doesn't work anymore. You just decide to leave the 3ds alone for a while. Let's say... a week(?).

The characters find themselves on a big, blank (white) area. Being as many as there are, they are cramped. They see areas branching off from the white and move there, frightened and confused. The branching areas are actually some game worlds/game worlds fused together. (can decide those worlds later. :P )

Now most have moved into their appropriate, and some inappropriate worlds that are slightly different from the original(?). The main protaganist/protaganists (of your choice) are just as frightened, but eventually find out what happened, due to new characters (possibly Colors OCs) know what happened, and tell the main protaganist(s). The protaganist(s) set off to stop "Mal" and send everyone back where they belong. (Of course, there's many things that have to be done along the way.)

Maybe we could get together at some point to do some more storyboarding. That's just the basis of my idea.

And the other Colors OCs, if they're in there, either move on into one of the areas, or stay there, and make their own homes using Colorians (or whatever they'll be called) abilities to create certain things. I.E. Houses, towns. Y'know, minor things.
