I use the first pen on a lower opacity setting. It gives me an easier time while I'm getting my 'guildlines' down. If I'm not gonna finish the drawing, I'll keep it like that. However, if I am going to finish the drawing, I'll erase over my guidelines and just do the same thing only with black.
