I find mimicry to be the best teacher, and Chitanda from Hyouka has such beautiful eyes I just had to copy them to learn how they work. It's like a puzzle, you can see the ending, but you still have to learn how to get there. Doing things like this will hopefully allow me to move onto my own unique style.
