She knew she was different. by Eph 5:8

What else could she be? She had no parents. She was lonely. She stuttered sometimes, and as a little kid she couldn't even say her own name right. Kids at school called her "the spazz".

But those were fairly normal compared to her other problem. Vanellope wondered if she had some sort of memory thing. Sometimes she appeared somewhere, randomly, without even remembering how she got there. It always happened after a bad fit of stutters...

Still taking headcanons and ideas.

Vanellope starts stuttering when she gets really emotional and sometimes starts visibly twitching her fingers then her shoulders and her face and then sometimes she disappears and comes back somewhere else. The way I picture it, the bonds between all her atoms and molecules separate, travel somewhere else really fast, and reassemble her back up in a different location. Uh...or something. And her powers are affected by her emotions. She just needs to learn to control it... but before she can do that she needs to actually know she has powers first. -u-

Yer a Super, Vannie.

(Also I can't decide if she lives in an orphanage or a foster home or what.)

The mirror. A time to reflect on who you truly are. Her expression is just right.

Oh, thank you. :D

An orphanage would make a lick or two of sense if the other racers aren't the villains/villain's cohorts.
'Cause THEY don't got no parents neither!

That is simply amazing! Beautiful!

PariZade-- Hm, yes, you're right! I pronounce this canon. Thanks for the input.

starzFH-- Thanks, that means a lot! ^-^

Okay so all the orphanage kids have relatively normal given names--Penelope, Taffeta, Francis, Candace--so on, so forth. But over time they all developed their own nicknames like the kids in Louis Sachar's "Holes". (Vanellope, Taffyta with a 'y', Rancis, Candlehead, yeah.)

^ I did consider that, but I thought about it, and I wasn't sure why she'd turn "Tabitha" to "Taffyta". Kind of a big jump. I thought it would make sense for her real name to be "Taffeta" (like the fabric) and then she turned it into "Taffyta" because taffy is sweet and she thinks she's sweet too.

Hm, interesting, but I purposely tried to make her powers close to her glitching in the movie. Cool idea though!

It was still a neat idea though. Hehe.

Hmm, here's an idea: King Candy/Turbo is the head of the orphanage. He shows to be all "nice" and stuff but really is a villian w/ powers...etc. :/ Idk if you were gonna add him or but it's fine if you don't.
Sorry the idea seemed kinda sad. Can't write today.

Your idea is great! In fact I was already thinking something along those lines. He's kind of mean to Vanellope, but then he acts like it's all a joke ("Kidding, kidding, of coursthe! You're my *favorite* orphan brat, Penelope" *awkward cheek pinch*). Also...he could be trying to keep Van from realizing she has powers, and always making jokes about how she's "a few stripes short of a candy cane".

"Teleportation?! Randomly appearing places?! Hoo hoo hoo! What a fantastical joke, Penelope. Utterly ridiculous, you know!"

"I know, but...it's like I'm *here*...and then I'm *there*...and--"

"My dear, you've been reading too many of those silly comic books! There ARE no such things as *superpowers*, you know. Haha! How nutty."

"What? I never said anything about superpowers! I'm just *saying*..."

"Penelope. Enough. You aren't a *normal* child, you know. It's practically *granted* you've got some mistakes, some misfires in the upper room, in your coconut, your noodle. Why else would your parents give you up?"

"..."

"There there. That's why I'm here to take care of you. And Penelope? Let's keep this nonsensical...*zapping places* thing between you and me, all right? We don't want the other children to think you're a freak."

"I thought I already was a freak."

"Ahahaha! You're such a *smart* little girl, Penelope."

Hm.. maybe King Candy/Turbo would use "Penelope's" powers for evil, and just says that "she means alot to him" just to trick her.

Yes, but how would her powers help him?
