Alternate universe where the WIR characters are Supers living in present-day America, trying to live normal lives despite their powers. Ralph has super-strength and unusually large hands, Vanellope has teleportation powers, Felix can fix things magically, and Calhoun can pull giant weapons from nowhere. (I'm keeping their original designs because the Incredibles world is already quite stylized.)
Throw headcanons at me plz. Like, I'm begging you.

So, what if Ralph was a supervillain early on in his career, fueled by spite and his temper, but had his moment of clarity and decided he wanted to become a superHERO instead. Only that failed, like a lot, since Ralph is only good at wrecking things, and so Ralph's "heroism" was one of the reasons the government brought on the superhero relocation program.
Now, he has a normal job like a normal person, even though he's like seven feet tall and everyone's afraid of him.

Woukdn't that make Ralph 'Syndrome' from the Incredibles?? He did try helping and only ended up hurting the heroes in the long run.

I guess it might, but I'm not turning them into Incredibles characters, I'm just putting them in the Incredibles universe. So Ralph is himself.
Also, if anything I can draw parallels between Syndrome and Turbo. They weren't exactly bad in the beginning, but when they couldn't cope with life circumstances they turned sadistic-psycho-evil.

This is really great, I like this idea!

Thank you! Okay I'm saying Van doesn't have parents. I can't decide if her parents were Supers and died doing hero stuff, or if her mom was secretly a Super and died in childbirth and when her normal dad found out Vanellope had powers he freaked out and abandoned her.
I'm making myself sad now.

Sounds like a valid story paralell

Glad you think so!

My ideas would be too maddening and make no sense.
Mebbe Gene can be like the super short boss man in Mr. Incredible's old job? :T

And Felix and Ralph are coworkers. And Gene treats Felix like the best thing since sliced bread. And Ralph gets treated like mud. Headcanon accepted. Now I just wonder what kind of jobs they have...

maybe they could work at a mail delivery thingy? idk
02 Feb, 2014, 4:02 am
oooor maybee a factory. i have really po.opy ideas :)
02 Feb, 2014, 4:33 am
Hm...mail delivery. Felix would make a nice mailman, always smiling. Tipping his hat to people. Taking good care of packages. Not folding people's envelopes. Making friendly conversation... :P
Ralph...well, he'd be good at dealing with heavy things. Maybe it would be his job to carry heavy boxes or shipments or something?
Thanks for contributing, Bloo!

Hey, at least I didn't give him chest hair a la Zangief. :P Hahaha. XD
You have already made a contribution, because I have now canonized your preferred method of Vanellope-parent-elimination. But if you come up with other contributions you should totally share. :D

x) I don't know how you make these aus so well! So far, everthing seems to be going well. I'm afraid I might ruin this but...
would that make calhoun in the army or some form of military? (:[ sorry of that sounded like a no-brainer question if so)
Anyways, great job for a great idea!

I don't really plan on drawing Ralph shirtless again anytime soon, so, yeah, enjoy the pit hair. ;P
Purplily--Thanks! And no worries, you ruined nothing. In the #sliceoflifeAU Calhoun is a drill sergeant, so yeah, I imagine she'd probably be doing the same thing here. Thank you again!

Whoa Ralph is unnaturally muscle-y
Perhaps in the end Ralph n' gang form a society for supers past their prime and gets 'em into Hollywood as stunt doubles...?

Psycho-- Hm...does Sonic have some sort of high-tech gadget thing that gives him a human appearance? :P
Tang-- Hey, glad to see you're back from your hiatus. :D Yeah, he is pretty muscley, but this is from the 'glory days'. Meaning that ol' Ralphie has gotten a little (or maybe a lot) outta shape since then. Still strong as ever, but...
"My gosh, you have gotten fat."

Hm, I like that idea. It works. And it gets me thinking about what the equivalent of Bad Anon would be here, actually.

And he can turn back into a hedgehog at will.
