Feather shivered, the rain beginning to drench her silver pelt. She leaned against Triangle and stared wide-eyed in fear at the three StarLight cats surrounding them.

Fallen sighed and sat on the white fence near the human gardens. She jumped as a human screamed at her to move, She darted and ran into a tom.

Eddy happened to be that tom. He hissed in alarm, his white pelt sp!king up. He stared at the she-cat with his wide blue eyes.

Amei stood atop a trash bag, determined to climb. She eyed a bag in her reach, and jumped up. The dainty cat latched her claws into it, and hauled herself up. A few cans and grimy rags slid out from the gashes she made. Amei looked up once more, and prepared to jump again.

Eddy shook his head, "No, she just bumped into me, that's all."

Fallen smiled "Nope.. I'm from the southside scrapyard! <3"

Amei jumped onto another bag. This one wobbled and Amei hung on, hoping it wouldn't fall. Thankfully, it didn't. Amei hauled herself up. If she kept going at this pace, maybe she could catch up. Amei pounced onto another bag. /Almost there!/ She thought.

Once again, Alexandria's father was let outside. He didn't say anything this time, because he thought she had stayed inside yesterday. This time, Alexandria had taken a small bag of spagetti with meatballs from the fridge. She squeezed through the same space in the window, and tried to find Spook and maybe some others to give it to.

Amei cried out in surprise as bags began to tumble. She dodged a big bag in the nick of time, but it happened to be the last bag before the top. Amei gritted her teeth around her brush and jumped. She clung onto the ledge and tried to pull herself up as the bag she had previously been standing on fell to the ground. Amei's eyes widened and she tried to get up again.

Feather, still trembling, stepped forward. She knew she'd have to fight, or she'd perish.

Kiro slowly regained conciousness. His shoulder throbbed uncontrollably, but his vision was clear. Lifting his head to look around, the dark-furred maine coon surveyed the area. He was still in the alley. Kiro staggered to his paws, wincing as pain sho.t through his body. /Now where is everyone? How much time has passed?/ he wondered.

Eddy purred and brushed his striped tail beneath Mako's chin. The white tom closed his blue eyes and smiled, nuzzling Mako's cheek.

Kiro stood in the alley, jaws parted, ears pri.cked, trying to sense any other cat. He'd licked the wound on his shoulder, so it didn't hurt so bad anymore, but now he was hungry. And he'd decided that the city after dark was not a good place for a hurt, hungry cat.

Feather, in the midst of her running, tripped over Kiro. She fell face first on the pavement, but didn't make a sound. Gingerly, the young tabby sat up, blood trickling out of her nose.

Eddy chirped happily, nuzzling Mako's side with his forehead. His tail raised in happiness, the tip twitching.

Feather blinked, unable to say anything. She didn't know how to tell him she had been ambushed.

Amei peered down and saw Feather in the alley by a strange cat Amei didn't recognize. She looked back up to hear Alexandria. Amei placed her brush on the roof to speak. "Maybe. I don't know. But it wouldn't hurt to ask." She picked up the brush and looked for a way back down. Amei knew the trash heap was toppled over, so she couldn't use that, but she did see a trash bin with some human garbage in it. Trusting that the garbage was soft, Amei leapt down. It cushioned her fall, and she vaulted out to land on the ground.

"Did someone attack you?" Kiro guessed. He looked worriedly at the she-cat. She didn't seem that badly hurt... "Can I help you?" he asked again.

"Huh?" suddenly whirling around, Kiro turned to face the cat that had jumped to the ground.

Feather nodded, she had been attacked. And it had not been a fair fight. A whole clan of cats had attacked her, even though she was just a kit.

Eddy nodded, "Alright. Hopefully we don't run into any mean cats..." he mewed.

"So someone attacked you... " Kiro mused. "How many?" Suddenly a thought struck him. "Wait- you can't talk, can you?"

Seeing Feather shake her head, Kiro suddenly felt bad. "Don't worry," he tried to comfort her. "I can understand you either way..."
Hearing the other cat, he turned. "Your brother? Im sorry, I haven't seen any other cats around here. Truth be told, i can't remember much before yesterday, but i haven't been in this city long. i think some two-legs brought me here."

"O-okay!" Eddy mewed, not noticing Scratty. He followed Mako, brushing lightly against the handsome tom.

Feather smiled lightly. She delicately lifted her dainty forepaw to her face to wipe the blood off of her muzzle.

"Oh, okay. I haven't seen him since we came to this place." Amei picked up her brush and walked over. "See? I', not going to hurt you." She said after putting down her brush. Amei smiled. "I'm Amei. Nice to meet you!"

Kiro looked at Feather. Somehow, her delicate face made him want to wrap his tail around the young cat and comfort her. He turned his head to look at the other cat, unsure what to do but glad of the company.

"Kiro." the maine coon smiled. "Nice to meet you too." he meowed.

Eddy cleared his throat, then spoke, "My name," he began, "is Eddy."

Feather spotted a pidgeon feather and sat it at Kiro's paws.

"Oh?" Kiro looked at the feather. He reached out hesitantly to tap it with his paw. Kiro wasn't sure what she meant. Was the cat just giving it to him? "Are you hungry?" he guessed.

Amei smiled, then blinked at the feather the small grey cat put by Kiro. "Hm?" She didn't understand. "A feather?"

(Can you imagine Feather trying to tell them something, and Kiro and Amei are like 'What is it, Lassie? Is Little Timmy stuck in the well?' XXXXD I have a mute chara, too. I haven't introduced her yet, but she's a ghost with her muzzle bound shut.)

Eddy gently touched his nose to Mako's ear, purring quietly. He hoped the strangers wouldn't attack.

Feather motioned toward the gray feather, then toward herself, hoping they'd understand. It irked her that she couldn't speak.

"Oh..." Kiro almost felt stupid. "We were introducing ourselves, right? So that's your name? Feather?"

Amei looked at the feather, then understanding hit her. "Ohhhh. Your name's Feather! Sorry!" She swished her tail and looked apologetically at Feather.

Kiro smiled. "Feather." he whispered. "What a wonderfull name." He stood silent for a moment. "So, Feather," he finally asked. "do you have a family here?"

Feather blinked, then shook her head. She lifted her head to reveal the large scar on her throat.

Kiro's heart froze. "I'm so s-sorry. " he hung his head. " I didn't know..."

Eddy blinked, "Well, I'm from around here."

Eddy looked at Scratty, "Really...? Well, I can't remember if I've seen you before."

"That's good." Kiro felt a bit lost now. "So, what should we do?" he posed the question to both cats.

Eddy twitched his tail, "I thought y'all looked familiar."

Kiro turned to Aimei. "Please... be gentle. " he hoped the other cat would understand. "It's hard enough for her."

Feather stood up and motioned with her head. She wanted them to follow her.

Amei felt even worse for reacting like that. She hung her head as she got up with her brush to follow Feather. "S-sorry again....." She whispered to herself.

"Okay, then." Kiro got up. He turned his head to look at the other cat. "You coming with us?" he asked.

Feather gently rested her tail on Amei's shoulder to say it was fine.

Kiro glanced at Aimei again. He gritted his teeth slightly. /Why do I always make others feel bad?/ he wondered.

Following Feather, Kiro wondered where they were going. The city seemed huge and unfamiliar, there was nothing he recognised in sight. The maine coon was thankfull for the company of Feather and Aimei- he felt better knowing he wasn't alone.

( @mcr- sure, that's fine. we'll wait for you. :) )

Amei followed Feather, looking around. She hoped she could find her brother in this sprawling place of winding alleys and large rumbling creatures gushing fumes. Amei swished her tail.

"You're looking for your brother?" Kiro asked. Ever since Aimei had mentioned a missing brother, he'd gotten curious. "What happened to him?"

(a ref would be cool. i haven't drawn kiro's ref yet, but i plan on it.)

Feather stopped to sniff the air, and her eyes widened. The silver tabby darted across the road, pursuing the scent of a she-cat.

"Huh?" Kiro bounded after Feather, long legs barely touching the hard ground. "What is it?"

(once i have time, i think ill draw some rp scenes, just as drawings or as a comic- the 'story' is pretty cool.)

Amei nodded. "My twin brother Slash. He chose that name for himself." Amei smiled a little. "We were exploring and came to this place. He and I got separated. We did have a sister, but she disappeared once and I haven't seen her since." Amei swished her tail.

Amei saw Feather and Kiro start running, and dashed to catch up. "What's going on?" She asked while running.

Kiro felt really bad about Aimei's lost siblings, but he didn't have time to ponder that now. "I don't know!" he answered the question. "Feather smelled something, but I have no idea where we're going."

Feather sniffed the air again, and saw a ginger tail around the corner at an alley. She ran toward it.

"Who's that?!" Kiro saw the flash of ginger. Suddenly his whole body exploded in pain. Spots danced before his eyes, his jaws parted to let out a muted, wordless yowl. He'd forgotten. "M-my shoulder..."

Feather stopped, leaning against Kiro to support him. She kept her eye on the ginger cat.

"Thanks..." Kiro managed, breathing heavily. "I'm sorry to slow you down."

Feather didn't mind, she just hoped Amber wouldn't wander too far ahead.

Sensing the smaller cat's excitement, Kiro pulled himself up. "Don't worry, I'm fine." he said. "We can keep going."

Amei slowed down to make sure Kiro was okay, then looked at the spot where the tail vanished. She wondered whose tail it was, and if it was what Feather was looking for.

Feather approached the pretty ginger cat. The stranger turned around, her blue eyes widening, "Feather...? I-it is you!"

"You know each other?" Now Kiro was really curious.

Amber smiled, "Yes... she and I have been through a lot together..." she replied.

Kiro nodded. "If she trusts you, then so do I," he said. After a moment he added, "Name's Kiro. Nice to meet you."

Amber smiled, "I'm Amber. So Feather, where have you been? Anubis and I have been looking everywhere for you."

Feather tapped her tail on the ground several times.

Amber nodded, "I see...."

"Anubis? Another friend of yours?" Kiro turned to Feather. He seemed to contemplate something for a moment, then asked Amber: "Um, do you have a special way of communicating? You seem to understand Feather well."

Amber nodded, "Yes. Feather communicates with me by tapping her tail. And Anubis is our mate," she replied.

Eddy padded after the gang cats.

Amei stepped up to see the cat. "H-hi." She was curious. "I'm Amei. You know Feather?"

Eddy shook his head, "It's fine, I can keep up," he meowed.

"That's pretty smart." Kiro was about to say more, but another wave of pain washed over him, leaving the cat dark-furred gasping for breath.

"Gaaah..." Kiro's paws collapsed beneath him. The pain-agony-was uncontrollable, dimmming his vision and spi.king his fur. He clamped his teeth, struggling to contain the wordless shreek bubbling out of his throat. /Someone...help.../he silently pleaded.

(my cat is male. no kits for him.)

Prowless tail poked out a trash bin, the tip of his tail twitching and circling about as he dug around the bin. "Nothing." He spat and climbed down the trash bin, eyes narrowed and ears a bit close to his head. "What's a cat gotta do to get food?" He growled and unsheathed his claws, letting them scrape against the hard ground. (This post was horrible :D)

Amei flattened her ears. "Aah! Amber! Kiro's hurt! We need to get him somewhere safe!" She looked at Amber. "Are there any safe places nearby we can take him?"

(um... i wonder how long it will take until someone notices Kiro...

Amber nodded, "Yes. Anubis's home in nearby. Feather and I can lead you there."

Feather nodded, getting to her paws.

"N-no...I'm...fine...." Kiro struggled to rise, but his paws were unsteady. He crashed against a wall. Suddenly the huge cut on his stomach, the one that he had thought had healed, split. Kiro's shriek pierced the air.
(oh, just so you know, i will eventually explain why he's hurt like that.i don't tor.ture my characters for no reason. usually.)

Feather jumped in alarm. Amber's eyes widened in fear.

(well, my cat is kinda dy.ing, so he doesn't really care...)

(Well, you never said your cats crossed the street :U )

Through the gray mist that covered his vision, Kiro saw the shocked expressions of the other cats. Suddenly he felt like laughing. /If only Minna could see me now.../ The only thing that came out of his mouth was a cough.

Amber rushed over, trying to help. *If only Cherry were here...* she thought.

( @ProArtist: Please don't make that cat heal him in 2 seconds. Seriously, with wounds like that, he'd need serious medical treatment.)

For a short moment the pain eased. "Bind it!" Kiro managed. "Anything you have will be fine, just press it tightly to stop the b-" he trailed off, the moment of clarity fading.

Feather nodded, and rushed down the alley. She neared a garbage bag and sniffed it. It didn't seem safe to use as a bandage. Cherry would have known what to do. Feather shook her head and continued searching.

(Battery's dying. Gotta go. Sayonara!)

(actually, ill just tell you guys some of it here: Kiro was used as an experiment. he had different transplants tried out on him, but he escaped just before the final operation. he ran away and got caught by some people on vacation. they took him in, but when they returned home to the city they tossed him out onto the streets.)

(ill go into more detail in the ref, then.) Realising the bl.ood wasn't stopping, Kiro saw no other option. "Bite the wound!" he called to Amber. "Bite it closed..."

Amber obeyed, clamping her teeth on the wound. Blood quickly soaked her ginger muzzle and ran down her throat.

"I'm sorry..." through the dark mist he saw the ginger cat, saw her movements. /I've done that before.../ Kiro realised. Only he had failed.

Kiro could barely see, could barely hear. But he held on. Slowly, slowly, the flow of blood slowed.

Feather rushed over, an old discarded shirt clasped in her jaws. She was breathing heavily, and blood still oozed out of her gray nose.

Amei didn't help. She was too scared to move. She was paralyzed out of horror and fear for Kiro's life. Amei clenched her teeth around her paintbrush, eyes wide.

Kiro lay gasping on the cold, hard ground. Blood soaked his fur, turnning it an ugly brown. But he was alive. "T-thanks." The cat opened his sea-blue eyes. "Thank you..."

Feather made it, breathing heavily. She slammed her tail on the ground several times, getting Amber's attention.

"H-how do we get this on right?" Amber asked, her face stained with Kiro's blood.

"I'll be okay now." never had anything hurt more than now, but Kiro knew he would be fine. /These cats won't let me di.e./ he realised. An overwhelming feeling of happiness flooded through him. " You guys saved my life. " he mewed weakly.

Amber smiled, "Of course. Only a heartless monster would leave a cat to d!e."

(DOODS IT'S GONNA SNOW ON WEDNESDAY! :'D )

Amei shuddered at all the blood. Her legs wobbled and she sat on the ground, somewhat dazed. She was glad that Kiro was getting better, but all that blood........

"Oh..." Kiro looked at Amber and Feather. "You'll need everyone to let go first. Then you can loop it over the cut and tug it tight." he instructed. He was, for the first time in his life, truly thankfull. These cats, these strangers, had saved his life for the simple reason that he needed it.

Kiro noticed Aimei. "Don't worry." he lifted his head and smiled at her. "You don't need to be scared anymore."

Amei shut her eyes and controlled her breathing until she calmed down. When she felt calmer, Amei opened them and avoided looking at the blood on the ground. Instead, she focused on Kiro's face and uneasily smiled back.

Feather sighed in relief, and she and Amber carefully wrapped the injured cat's stomach.

Kiro looked at Aimei. He held her gaze and kept smiling. "Don't worry." he comforted her, his voice quiet and calm.

(Let's make the cats go sleep in an empty fallen garbage while a storm rages. Oh, and it's hail too >:3 )

Amber suddenly yelped in pain as something hard and cold pelted her shoulder. She narrowed her deep blue eyes and looked up. It was hailing. And it was beginning to fall faster.

"Thank you." Kiro said to the two cats who had wrapped his wound and rose unsteadily to his feet. He looked up, towards the bit of sky visible between the buildings. "Look, it's completely dark..."

"Hhh!" Kiro flinched as the hail hit him. "We've gotta get to shelter!" he called.

(How old is Kiro? 'Cause I kinda feel like shipping Amei and Kiro could be a thing. Dunno, though. Amei is like an 11 year old girl or something.) Amei yelped as chunk of ice hit her back. She leapt up as more began to fall. "Hail! We need to get shelter!"

"Good idea! Thanks, Feather!" Kiro nodded.

Amber flattened her ears.

Feather th.umped her tail on the ground several times.

Amber nodded, "Thanks Feather! She said there's a fallen garbage can down the alley!"

(We could ship Aimei and Kiro, they're similar ages...well, shipping with Feather or Amber is both akward and nearly impossible, so i guess that's fine, unless anyone has other suggestions...)

Feather led the group toward the can, and she let them huddle in there. It was a tight squeeze, but it would work.

(I was thinking that Amei and Kiro should be shipped, too x3 )

At least it was warm, Kiro thought. It was also tight and dark, but it wasn't the worst place to sleep.

Kiro lay, curled up, listening to the quiet noises around him. He felt a cat curled up close to him, but he wasn't sure who it was. Despite the pain, he slowly drifted off to sleep.

Eddy winced as the hail pelted harder on the pavement. Luckily, the two toms had made it back to there alley safely.

Eddy's ears grew hot and a purr rumbled in his throat. The Siamese tom nuzzled Mako's floofeh chest fur.

Eddy gently rasped his tongue over Mako's head. The sound of hail tapping on the fallen garbage can they were in was very calming.

Eddy continued grooming Mako, when he heard a loud bang. The blue-eyed tom hissed in alarm, flattening his flame coloured ears.

Eddy flicked an ear, "I thought I heard something..." he mewed quietly.

(My eye hurts like hell /The one that was bleeding yesterday/ so I think Imma go to sleep. Sorry y'all >n> )

Eddy yawned, "Probably... anyways, I reckon we go back to sleep...."
