Animals. Some think of them as heartless savages, others as tools, some as family, or friends.
Then there are those that treat them as nothing but test subjects.
Why? How? Who in their right mind would abuse and tort.ure the creatures who helped us survive?
Without animals, we wouldn't be where we are today.
What provided us food in hard times? What helped us on our treks to new lands? What would protect us no matter what?
The animals.
You see, an animal does not care whether you are white or black, healthy or unhealthy, depressed or joyful. No, an animal will love you no matter what. They'll protect you from harm, save you during a disaster, comfort you when you're feeling down, and, most important of all, be your best friend.
Animals risk their lives for people everyday, yet they are continuously abused. To anyone who's thinking, "So what? They're just dumb animals!" Just think. Would you leave your child on the streets to fend for themself? Would you force them to fight others to the death? Would you lock them in a cage and watch them starve?
No. You wouldn't. You'd nurture them. Love them.
Why can't the animals get that same love?
The experiments Shy Guy was in were absolutely HORRIBLE.
The dogs were purchased by a University in Georgia from a man who took peoples' pets and strays. When the dogs were in the university they suffered greatly. Some had their teeth removed and replaced with metal.
Others... well, they were strapped down over a tub with their jaws opened painfully wide. The people 'researching' would slit the dog's throat, watching them die as their blood poured out into the metal tub. They then would remove just a small piece of jaw bone. All that for just one dam.ned bone?! Once the people got what they wanted, the dog was just thrown into a garbage bag to be disposed of.
Thousands of dogs were used in those tests in the past year. They did NOT deserve it.
Tell me, do you think any creature, big or small, should die in that manner?

The poor dog. I HATE animal testing. Animals are living creatures, too! Why would ANYONE do this? All for some dumb research that might not be correct because IT'S A FREAKING DOG, NOT A HUMAN. Why test on animals when they aren't like humans? I mean, sure, some animals have /similar/ body systems, but not the exact human system. They're different, and special. People who test using animals aren't people at all. They're heartless beings who only care for humanity. Ugh. Those filth disgust me with what they do to creatures....

I treat animals as a friend and a family.

My conclusion is that humans think that they have the right to govern everything and do whatever the hell they feel like.

Poor puppy...I feel bad for every single animal that died for these twisted experiments. Dogs, cats, mice, rats...whatever. All are capable of giving and receiving love...just like us...yet we continue to tor.ture them...

Wow, I've never heard of that. That must of been horrible! And they call heartless animals! The ones who are heartless are them! Why don't we just do that test to them so they could suffer like those animals did?! It isn't fair! The things that you said about animals comfort there owners is right. When I feel depressed, my dog Jonas comes to me with his happy go loving face and he won't stop wagging his curl tail. He licks my face, whinnes, and then he sits beside me. We can learn things from them that we don't do.
