If you're religious, and believe on Noah's Ark, you have no choice but to believe in evolution. Or you're choosing to believe that he brought one of every animal, as well as evey sub species of those animals. There are more than forty thousand recorded species of spiders alone. If you needed further proof, look at a wolf, then look at a pug. Couldn't be further removed, right? Breed a Beagle with a Pug, and you get a Puggle. (I kid you not, that is what they're called) Let this kind of thing run rampant by itself for billions of years, and you're bound to see some drastic changes. Humans have been using selective breeding for our benefit for ages. Our livestock have been bred to be larger, dumber, and more delicious. Let them loose in the wild, they'll be dead before too long. If you believe in the bible, AND in evolution, you've got yourself a major problem. Evolution means that millions of years ago, there was dying and bloodshed before Adam and Eve. But when God made Adam and Eve, he "saw that it was good." Gen. 1:25. Do you think God saw all this dying ******* and bloodshed and thought it was good? If so, he'd think it would be totally okay if I stabbed you right now, wouldn't he? No, I don't think there could have been dying and bloodshed and evolution going on when he said that. Thus, evolution cannot be possible unless God isn't. And you could find some pretty solid proof that God is alive, well and active. Just sayin'. :]

There is infinitely more proof for evolution than God... Actually, there's no proof for God, and years upon years of scientific study, research, and absolute fact to support evolution. Throwing bible verses around doesn't mean any more to me than quoting The Lord of The Rings. Not a solid argument.

evolution is false because that first of all is that evolution is a theory not a solid fact. This imformation is told as fact not theory in non christian science text books. Evolution isn't an organism making drastic physical changes throughout their lifetime, obtaining or losing limbs or organs. This isn't Pokemon... As for an organism that does that, however, observe the change from tadpole to frog... That isn't evolution though. Evolution is when beneficial traits that help the survivability of a species are past on, while harmful traits cause those species to die out. Survival of the f ittest and natural selection, causing small changes to a species over the course of a VERY long time.

Thank you, starbob, it appears I have some support in the truth. Rush-in roulette, I could not be more disgusted. There is plenty of proof to support Christianity, however some interpret it differntly, which is understandable. THERE IS NO PROOF OF EVOLUTION. Period. You may think it's obvious that humans evolved from monkeys, but the only thing that's obvious to me is that they're similar. Perhaps God decided to make them similar. And as for those canyons and other rock formations which appear to be carved by water over millions of years, I've got five words for you. F, L, O, O, D. not to mention those earthquakes and volcanos. All that could have been done with almost an apocalypse of destructive water. I'm not trying to convert you or anything, because you're obviously not Christian, but I'm making an important point.( it's a pretty well done painting though, I'll give you that)

The bible NEVER says in it ANYWHERE that evolution is false. Sure, there's that whole part that "God created the Earth in six days" and "the Earth is only ten thousand years old" and all that. But interpreting these passages literally is just basically very silly. The original language of the Bible is Hebrew, and in Hebrew the word for 'day' can also mean any period of time, millions of years even. The same with years. The bible could have meant ten thousand great events could have occured since the creation of the Earth.

Now for evolution itself. Evolution isn't an overnight event. A monkey didn't just give birth to a human. Evolution literally took thousands of millions of years, with each generation making the very most minute change to its DNA in order to adapt to its environment. Let's look at it this way: animal A can only eat green food (hypothetically). For some reason, animal A gives birth to animal B, who can now eat green and brown food. One day, for some reason, aaaall the green food disappears, but the brown food stays. Animal A dies, as do everyone else just like it. but animal B just starts eating brown food, and has lots of babies that can also eat brown food, and it's ok. Small changes like this happen once a generation for thousands of millions of years until we're unrecognizable from our ancestor.

Now for the reason that monkeys still exist, even though we "evolved" from them. It's because we didn't evolve from, say, a chimpanzee. Us and the chimpanzee shared a common ancestor (who couldn't eat green food, to go with the previous analogy), meaning that once upon a time, both us and the chimp were that monkey thing to the far left, but over millions of generations we slowly changed to unrecognition.

Lastly, you CANNOT SOURCE THE BIBLE AS A RELIABLE SOURCE OF FACTS. It's thousands of years old, and, no matter how much imput God had, written by humans, who are very prone to bias and mistakes.

To actually stay on topic, though, I liked the drawing.

Oh yeah, super brief on the topic of theories, just because it's called a theory doesn't make it false. It just means that we can't literally go back in time to watch the monkeys turn into humans. There's waaaay too much substantial evidence to just call this a hypothesis, but we're lacking that final definite photograph to provide visual proof that it happened. I read in a science book that we evolved from creatures similar to apes and I read in a different science book that no scientist really knows where all the gases to creat the big bang really came from... I did not know there were this many creationists in the whole world! Evolution is so overwhelmingly likely that I cannot even describe it. Yes, I do suppose you could say an all powerful being in the sky created each individual species seperately but there is absoulutely no evidence to support that. So, there is no reason to believe it. I am fine if you believe in God but I think you should believe in evolution, too. Also evolution can explains things that seem extraordinary in sensible ways. For example, natural selection. The reason why living things have traits that help them survive, such as a bees stinger, is because of natural selection. Evolution is caused by small mutations over time. The bees that evolved to have stingers could defend themselves. Any species of bees without stingers were helpless and therefore died off. So, any way, nice painting and GO DARWIN!

fun fact.... the universe is always expanding (galexies are constantly getting farther apart cause they are traveling through space)now think of this.... the moon goes around the earth because of gravitational pull..... and the earth around the sun (didnt christians use to believe the sun traveled around the earth and the earth was flat... but the greeks already knew the earth was not flat and they knew that the earth went around the sun) so to put things in perspective, the galexies are huge in mass.... here is the rub.... will the galexies get far enough appart or will they... trough gravitaional pull... be pulled back together (destroying all that exists in the madness and destruction that follows).... btw this cant happen for so long that the human race will probably go extinct naturally before it happens, its just interesting to think about... will the gallexies get far enough away or will they get pulled back .... kind of like when a space ship takes off it has to go fast enough to not get pulled back down to earth
