XD For their skin, it's like a snake's. It's shed and replaced with their seasonal skin, for the color of that, check the other Yhagwist reference picture for an idea of colors.
And about his "thing" (known properly as a Puvli, female is Vulvi), it's the same color as their tongue...strangely enough, their tongue looks identical to their Puvli. Though they can't be used the same way as the other. XD
The sphere on the tongue serves as an advanced taste-bud, and on the Puvli, it's for babehs. XD
