It used to work, before the last update. Now I can only get it to play if I disable HD before the video starts playing. :P

Yah though it works for me. It's just stupidly slow and like you said, will just crash and go back to the home screen or restart my 3DS.

The whole internet in general on the 3ds sucks. I haven't used yt for a while, but for me the video quality was terrible, and it froze badly, not even letting me turn my ds off. :/

It sux! we have pretty good internet and still... I get the error restart thing. could it be the 3Ds? I have an old one idk mabey newer ones work better? mine works for awile but I just watch 80's music video's :)

If your internet con.nection ever drops from 3 to 2 bars, the program will crash. You could even simply be browsing the search results and not even trying to play a video. It needs constant input and was not designed to know how to wait for it. Try walking around your house looking at your wifi strength until you find the strongest spot and watch videos there. Make sure not to move the 3DS (set it on something) because even a less than a second con.nection fluctuation may cause it to crash if your wifi signal isn't consistantly strong everywhere. Remember to check those bars and then you'll find a spot to use the app. I hope that helps!

FINALLY!! Someone with the same opinion as me! When I just downloaded it, it kept crashing all the time. Gladly it stopped. But instead, it keeps logging me out! Plus if I like a video while watching it, IT RESTARTS THE WHOLE SH.IT!! Seriously, this app sucks. I don't get why everyone likes it so much. It actually isn't an app. It's just m.youtube.com turned into an app. It probably uses the Internet Browser to launch. You can also access other websites using the YouTube "app". But you can't scroll horizontally(Spelling?). In my opinion, they should've made you able to access m.youtube.com using the Internet Browser and make a new YouTube app that is specially designed for the 3DS hardware.

Same with me!But it kinda does it when internet starts to slow.BTW,I advise you don't get on twenty-four seven.Screen crystals will fade out and flicker.If that happens,play around with the brightness settings for a bit and stay off Youtube for a week or so.

Mine does that when I click more things when the first ones not done loading or try to load a hour long video, so if I go slow with only normal length videos it wont crash for me.....

yeah it does suc.k but i got ustu it due to it's higher availability to my computer. for some reason it fails alot less than it ustu (restarts the system) for me idk.

WoW mine works fine the only time it crashes if i do things to fast on it or if i forget to pause the vid before looking up a different vid :T

I'll just stick to my computer...

mine would just close out.....but only in a 2 hr time lasp....so i could watch mine with no errors for about an 1hr and a half or so otherwize it would start getting slow in the next halfhour. ._.

happened to me too. i just deleted it csuse i need the room on the sd card.

for me when i load a video..
it freezes in the home menu for bout 2 seconds then said a error occured.

And if you have parental controls (which i do) there's no point to it.

I dont know why it wont work for you, it usually works fine for me. Have you gotten the update? That might help :)

I must be extremely lucky because mine doesnt crash much just like once a day and the videos dont freeze unless someone else is using wifi and my internet is crap.

It doesn't happen if you use it a lot. Just keep trying every day and it should stop crashing. I would say to improve it; be able to comment on videos but I think it's a breakthrough for 3DS!

i got on it to look at something for pokemon and crashed its fixed now...

I know what you mean. Everytime I watch a video I have to close just to watch another sometimes. >n<

I don't mind it. Sometimes I go for a whole hour without crashing.
