Straight lines are so dark and edgy. Curves all the way.

Option one: Zoom in, move your canvas so the area you want to draw a line on is touching the edge of your touch screen. Use the edge of your 3ds to draw a perfect straight line.
Option 2: Use an actual ruler. Seriously. It might seem weird bit it works to a certain extent.

Use your elbow to move the stylus. It's far easier to draw steady lines/curves that way :)
