This is epic beyond belief. The only thing better than the completely realistic dialogue from Samus, is the RIDICULOUS amount of detail in this picture!
Goodness me, this is probably the best piece of Art on here I've seen in a long time, heck if I would have seen this picture on a gaming website I would believe it!

Don't forget, Ants. Both of their final bosses are brains, and both franchises need some new life. Sakamoto really messed up handing Metroid off to Team Ninja, and Fox's last outing was a remake.

You mean Other M? I also know about the other Star Fox game, the one for DS, but I forget its name. But agreed. Haven't played either, but I hear terrible things about them, mainly storyline. I guess they need a game.

Just to clarify, I made this in light of a rumor that is floating around. This rumor states that Retro studios, makers of Metroid Prime and Donkey Kong Country Returns, are currently working on an HD Starfox-Metroid crossover for the Wii U.

No. There should be a Metroid x Kid Icarus game. They both have Metroids, Space pirates, and a character we all originally thought was a guy.

Kid Icarus has references to a lot of Nintendo stuff, not just Metroid. That being said, I can't see Metroid crossing over with Star Fox much. The former is far too serious of a series for it to work with the latter. Cool artwork though!

When I saw the small picture, it looked like a sketch / trace of a Star Fox screenshot, really shocked to see it's an original. Great job making this look like an actual game screen. I hope the rumor isn't entirely true though.

I really like the idea of it but I dont really like metroid (sorry metroid fans!) i think starfox is great but i just wouldnt like the game if it played like a metroid game. how about a different cross-over like LOZ and fire emblem

*chuckles* As a game, I have to think this would be a bit of a disaster. But as a piece of art? Awesome and amusing ^_^ Nicely done, I think you've perfectly captured what such an encounter might look like.
And to the people that think Other M "killed" Samus' character... Clearly you didn't pay that much attention in Fusion =P Gasp, Samus is human, who would've guessed? And still a darn powerful, awesomely deadly one, at that.

Samus and Fox don't sound very different to me. I mean Samus has alien bird DNA in her, Fox is... obviously a fox. I think the game should play a little more like metroid, and it would be awesome if you could play as Fox during ground missions. This would be awesome and at least that HD StarFox game is a go!
