Moonshine: I said that I thought the battles were slow, the music just annoys me. It actually drives me to turn the volume off and turn on my tunes :oP

And please, no one feel offended by this, I'm actually kinda asking for tips, is there anything I can do to have more fun with it? So far all I've done that I enjoyed was mess with them in Pokemon-Amie or whatever its called :M

There are tons of reasons why people love pokemon. Its the best selling RPG game. More than 7OO pokemon to collect. Worldwide Pokemon. I love the game. But when you complete it, you start to wonder what to do next. So people really can like OR hate it.

I'd sudgest making your trainer videos. There are tons of funny videos on youtube if you need help =)

Also, if we didnt have pokemon, we wouldn't have GEODOOOOD!

The whole catching them all thing doesn't exactly interest me at all, it sounds like the million coin thing in NSMB2, only it involves going out of my way to catch the ones I don't even like and will never use :oS

^The problem here is that none off that sounds interesting to me :oX I'd rather spend time working on paintings than do things in a game just because it's something to do.

For me, I guess its collecting all of them (the creator originally was inspired by bug collecting). I like obtaining all the evolution forms, legendaries, and training a whole team to battle other people using the pokemon I like. :y In all the games in general, I also like progressing through the story with my team, and leave special training and collecting afterwards. (btw use an everstone or press B consecutively to stop evolution. Evolving them makes them stronger keep in mind. :P)
Being a long time fan of it, I guess Ive gotton used to the repeativeness. Pokemon is not for everyone though, so if you dont enjoy that kind of thing then thats alright.

Also, as the community of pokemon is so large, its fun to socialize with other people. :P

My parent's never let me play it because they're really religious and say pokemon are actually demons who possess children into more v.iolent behaviors. And I looked that up and it said "People who play pokemon have increased vi.olent thoughts." Also I've never been interested in those ugly things. xD More of a boy game. But...eh, it's not important to me.

I guess I just enjoy it so much because i was practically brought up playing it.

I hate the kind of games that have a whole sequence for battles. It drives me crazy. But yet I still find myself playing them. Pokemon is the kind of game thats original concept was popular and as more games were created people just went with it. It evolved into something that is fun for the long-term player but a bit more confusing for the newcomer.

I've always thought Pokemon is kinda boring. Well, it's fun in the beginning, but then you just get tired of it. This pic is hillarious though. xD

I hate religious parents tbh. Like ffs it won't hurt your child if you keep them away from bad pokemon and play the game WITH THEM. stupid..

Plus, pokemon ARENT ugly, and its not a boys game. You hear the word 'fight' and its a boys game. Also, Look at freaking I dunno, SLURPUFF or GOODRA. they're ADORBBBBSSSSS

For me it's about the battling, despite me having no real strategy. Or maybe it's trading, I really dunno. I like only got into Pokemon less than a year ago, so yeah.

Never played a Pokemon game...Was thinking about buying X/Y and Jason said I should but now eh..

The thing I like about pokemon is the battles, but only the online battles :P

For me, I always find playing it enjoyable from it's atmosphere. Training Pokemon for battling is my favorite part of it and I've only just got started becoming a fan of the series recently. It's okay if you aren't really impressed of Pokemon, man. Not everyone is a fan of the series. ; J

I agree with Waffle. Try red blue or yellow. Those are the ONLY ones I like.

The thing I like about pokemon is getting to customize your pokemon party...The battles are slow though

i used to be intrested in pokemon,my brother and i collected pokemon cards together,but then my bro got into FPS games and i lost intrest.yeah,so i don't really like pokemon.

Me and older siblings were RAISED with Pokemon! We got all Pokemon games (except for X and Y, sadly :'l), know all tips and tricks, collected tons of cards, collectibles, movies, etc., heck, we even enter Pokemon Trading Card tornaments back when they were around. ^u^

I loved the games on the GBC/GBA, but the latest installments haven't been so fun. The classics... We all miss them.

Guys Gen1 was not the best gen ever. If you thought the later gens sucked then look at some of the Pokemon designs from Gen1. Even the first gen Pokemon had horrible japanese names. This is why I prefer the new Pokemon games over the old ones...

I started out with gen 4 and it was SOOOOOOOO confusing for me xD Don't worry we all have been there with pokemon games XD

You should've played gold and silver first, X & Y was basically a love letter to pokemon fans.
