Exactly! I'm a young furry (6th grade) and the older kids are calling me a perv and yiffer! WTH?! My friend and I are FURRIES not YIFFERS

This always p!sses me off. A few people have managed to find out I'm a furry and I had to give them a long discussion about this because they couldn't tell the difference. Not all of us are yiffers.

I agree completely. I've never been called a yiffer but that doesn't make any difference in my opinion.

My friends and I hate it when when people call us furries because we draw anthros/humaoids and aliens. There is a FAR different line.

I agree! (I've never been called a yiffer) but i'd be offended if someone automatically thought i was one, cause i make and wear fursuits... i mean- thas just stupid! there's a HUGE difference and i wish some people would just get it without any explaining... "furry" is a general label, yah, but just because one small subgroup of furries do that kinda stuff doesn't mean the rest of us do! Oh mer gersh now you got me in a raging ramble XD sorry! X)

Well I have never worn a fursuit but I love to wear my homeade clip-on tails, and ears ona headband... at my school most kids dont even know what yiff is >:T 4th graders made fun of me for the ears n tail tho. AND IM IN 8TH GRADE! ....also yiff is the noise a fox makes, wtf. yiff is a greeting not se>< :(

And this is why I just say I'm a cat. (Actually, I say "Kat" XD) I never say furry. Dem stereotypes. I'm just a person who legit acts catlike and grew up with many cats. XD

Amen! Seriously! There are kids that I know that think furries are disgusting because they think all furries YIFF! Thank the lord for this post!

Yiff is dangerous... so are Roleplaying... Being interested in anthro art and even romantic stories about a red fox falling in love with an arctic fox is fine, it's those interspecies yiff that bug me the most, and I also hate it when someone tries to force an addiction onto me that I'm not interested in... (And I'd hate it worse when they're slightly successful)

The two groups of furries can really be divided into three and a half categories: Yiffers, Roleplay-locked and Roleplay Witch furs (stay away from the later), and the only clean type is someone who doesn't create elaborate characters and simply realizes that sometimes a furry character is just a metaphor for a personality trait, rather than a stex symbol

I hate people who assume every furry yiffs or is a z00phile, which is pretty much everone who doesn't know the different or bother to learn the different between each person.
