As someone with two younger brothers who suffer from mental ret.ardation...the people who use that word negatively will get my over-grown nails in their arm (even if used jokingly. Idgaf in all honesty).

Nice message. Even though I dont upload, I still like to look at others galleries. From what ive witnessed, a lot of people are being uncalled for and mean. Colors has got to change.

Yes! There's an old rhyme that "sticks and stones will break your bones but words will never hurt you" that I've heard used to justify verbal attacks, but the body heals far more easily than the spirit. Many times, people are just throwing out words without thinking through their impact or even their meaning. It's also easy to insult someone when you're angry at them, such as if they insulted you first, but we should always treat everyone the way we would want to be treated. I've been called some of these, but I always try to remember that they really don't mean what they're saying. Who I am is not defined by what others think. It'd be like saying, "Well, if people keep telling me the sky is green, then it must be true." You are you and no one else is like you. Every single person is special, different and unique. That's why we all deserve equal respect. No one is "normal", so calling someone a name doesn't point out that they're different. It'd be like a snowflake calling another snowflake weird. No two people are alike. We should never insult anyone, but we should also try to help others know that the insults they hear aren't true by combatting them with possitive comments. After all, I'm sure Einstein was called "weird" a lot in his day.

I've been called one of these words by my mom and I was called names in my back last year.

For the name called by my mom, it was bit.ch and I'm pretty sure that it hurted me forever and ever. I've been hating myself very much for this. In november-december-january(well, now), I've got stronger and longer sui.cidal issues. But it's not only because of this. I've been bullied at least once in my life.

@Everyone- I've been called a hom0phobic the MOST out of all of these words, because I am a christian. All I have to do is say 'My religion is christian' when they ask, and they immediately say 'So you hate gays, don't you?'. No. I don't hate gays. I love everyone! (as long as they treat me right). One of my best friends at school is openly Bi! And I love her to death! And I have a gay guy friend too! I don't see why the big 'christian's hate gays' saying is a trend. My religion does not have ANYTHING to do with my acceptance of people!!
