Well it's been a while since I took my mp4 player with beatle music to school. And when I did, my friends and classmates didn't show much interest in what I was listening to. Only one time a classmate asked me what I was listening to, and when I said i was listening to the beatles she had no problems with it.
Maybe you could say to them "Why do you even care about what Im listening to? I like listening to it, you don't have to listen to it if you dont like it, so what's the problem?" or something like that.

I mean, the different instruments don't even go well with each other most of the time, which kinda makes it ear-raping and annoying. They're often really repetove too, gah, I really hate pop music. Worst thing ever made. I don't get how people can listen to that cr.ap. Most pop music isn't very well made. Thry don't even put effort into them! The only pop music I liked was Michael Jackson's.

I couldn't hear much of the music in the trailer. Too much noise going on.

You should look it up on YouTube. Some of of them are cut though since they're recorded from mariokart8.nintendo.com.

I remember that N64 Rainbow Road sounds pretty good, though. Well, most of the retro courses do.

They changed some of the themes too much, though, and some sound way too jazzy. I barely recognized the GBA Mario Circuit theme in the trailer.

But Moo Moo Meadows sounds REALLY beautiful.

What's your favourite new course in MK8 right now? I can't decide on mine.

Dolphin Shoals and Mount Wario. I like dolphin shoals because it has dolphins and a Mega Unagi, plus I've always loved water based levels. The dolphins look much more realistic anatomy wise. The only thing I don't like about Mega Unagi is that they removed his dots. I like Mount Wario because it's soooo freaking realistic and has such a cool concept. It basically looks like Mario IRL or something.

I only saw a bit of those courses. The dolphin one seems cool, though, especially with the Mega Unagi. I like the new Bowser's Castle too, but it looks really complicated. XD

The new Rainbow Road just looks weird. There isn't even much rainbow in it.

I don't like the new Rainbow Road either. It's more like Satellite Road. Even back when I saw the MK7 Rainbow Road, I was worried they'd go too far with the space things.

I miss the times when Rainbow Road was JUST a rainbow, like it SMK and MK64.

But MKDD and MKW Rainbow Roads are still my favourites.

I mostly play the old Sonic games. I don't really like the new ones. They don't feel very Sonic-ish. Sonic CD is my favorite. Its Japanese soundtrack is one of the most unique soundtracks I've heard. You should look it up!

I hate YouTuve sometimes. -_- I was simply expressing my opinion in the comments of a vid of MK8. I said I didn't like the new recovery time. I think it's waaay too fast and makes it too easy. But guess what? People started attacking me on that opinion giving reasons why it's good etc. Can't you have an opinion? Some people even called me things like hipster and nostalgia freak. -_- It's supposed to be a punishment. If it takes time to recover if you fall off the course, you'll try to avoid it. But if it takes fast to recover, people wouldn't care if they fell off. I think it makes the game too easy.

I have a theory why Snowdevil is so stupid. When Aurora made him grow huge, his brain didn't grow with the rest of his body. So he became very stupid.

Yoshi's New Island is probably one of the worst games of 2014.

I can't call it a sequel to the original Yoshi's Island. It's more like a remake. It's basically the same game, but much worse. The levels are really empty which make them easy, the level designs are almost identical to the first Yoshi's Island's level designs, the bosses were really uncreative (All of them were basically 3 hits then it dies), it had almost the exact same story as the first game and the music isn't very good either. The Title Screen and Yoshi Clan themes are really ear-raping. The levels are really slow-paced too, which makes the game long and boring. The ONLY new features were a few new transformations, a giant Yoshi Egg, and new, and uncreative bosses. I'm probably never gonna buy that game. They completely ruined the Yoshi series. Seriously, it makes Yoshi's Island DS look great, while it actually isn't that good.

Hopefully, Yarn Yoshi for the Wii U will be much better. It kinda looks like a combination of Yoshi's Story and Kirby's Epic Yarn. Actually, it's made by the same developers who created Kirby's Epic Yarn. But I'm kinda having the feeling they've cancelled it. They haven't given any information about the game in like a year or more.

They have to do that. Wii U is selling really poorly, so they have to make lots of trailers revealing everything to create hype. If they wouldn't do that, Wii U would probably sell even worse. They'll probably stop with that when Wii U starts to sell better, which I think will be soon.

I think if they gave their consoles more unique names, like they used to, they wouldn't sell so poorly. There're probably some people who think the Wii U is just an upgraded Wii, or something like that.

Yeah, I agree. Actually, the Wii U's advertising was really bad overall. They didn't even tell about Wii U's features, so almost no one knew what it actually is. I feel really sorry for many children who wants a Wii U too. Their parents think it's just an upgraded Wii, and decide not to buy it.

I remember some people also used to think the 3DS was just a normal DS with a 3D feature. It seems like Nintendo are getting bad at advertising their consoles. XD

KTD basically looks like a simpler version of KRDL. If you're gonna get any Kirby game, get KRDL. It's the best in the series IMO. The graphics are really cute and amazing, the soundtrack is awesome, the multiplayer is great too. Definitely one of the best Wii games. But I think you have to hurry. I'm not sure if they'll continue selling Wii games for too much longer... KTD still looks pretty cool. Might buy it.

Well, it's annoying having to use the numpad.

Change the control configuration (sp?) so the D-Pad is on the arrow keys, just while you're playing that game.

BTW, when playing on emulator, you can't see the HUD properly which is annoying. You can see the HUD itself, but you can't see how much health or how many lives you have, which is really annoying.

I've technically played Kirby's Adventure as well, but only the demo in SSBB. XD

Kirby's Adventure is one of my favs. It's also one of the most advanced NES games. It even has auto-save.

It doesn't even look like an NES game. It looks like it was made for the SNES.

Yoshi's Story is even worse on emilator, though... It's like, you see the normal game screen, plus there's a smaller version of the screen on the normal screen that flashes really fast whenever you move. It also uses a scaling effect instead of a rotating effect like it's supposed to, and that looks really ugly. I tried playing it using Modlord's Rice Video plugin. It worked much better, but the tiles were completely messed up and glitched in some levels.

BTW, did you know that Yoshi's Story is actually a sequel to Yoshi's Island? Its beta totle even was Yoshi's Island 64. I found it confusing that Yoshi's Island has 3 direct sequels. I think Yoshi's Island DS feels like the true(st) sequel, though.

I think Yoshi's Story was okay. I enjoyed it. It had a unique feel and style. Though, I wish it was 6 times longer...

I don't mind short games. Sometimes I like to play something that won't take me days to complete.

But Yoshi's Story was WAY too short. I'd never waste so much money on a game that takes about an hour to play. First time I played it, I thought all of the worlds were a single world.

NSMB2 was worse though. It's definitely not shorter than Yoshi's Story, but it's easy as heck. I beat it in 2 hours, ON ITS RELEASE DATE! Probably my biggest disappointment ever. I almost lost the interest in Nintendo.

BTW, have you heard the new Rainbow Road theme in MK8 yet? I think it's one of my new favorite Rainbow Road themes. I love the electric guitar in it. It takes a few listems though (At least for me) to start appreciating it.

The remix of Moo Moo Meadows sounds beautiful though. MUCH better than the original. The original was kinda boring. The remix feels more alive since they used real intruments. If you wonder which one it is, it's the one that dounds Irish.

First, I played a demo of MK8. It was pretty awesome. They had every Mario Kart game except MKSC. After that, I played MKDD. It was only for an hour, and it's already my most favorite Mario Kart game ever. Seriously, that game is just perfect. The controls were much easier than I thought. I'm seriously thinking about getting a GCN instead of MK8. They also sold a LOT of game stuff. They even sold a GCN which was only a bit more expensive than a normal Wii U game, but I sadly didn't have the money to buy it. But I bought other stuff like a Kitsune Luigi plush, a Diddy Kong plush, Donkey Kong 64, and some extremely cheap NSixtyFour game which was cheaper than a small bottle of Coke. I have no clue about what it is. I only bought it 'cause of the prize, so it'll be a suprise. xD It's probably really shi.tty since it was so cheap anyway. I tried DKC on a real SNES too. But the SNES controller looked really weird, and it wasn't comfortable to hold. It wasn't a normal SNES controller. (TBC)

Also, the B button was really bad too. You couldn't jump high at all. I only played the first level. I also tried SMB on a mini TV. seriously, that TV was SOOOO small. xD The screen wasn't bigger then a Wii U GamePad screen. The last console I tried was Virtual Boy. It was acually pretty cool. Sadly, they didn't have Mario Clash or VB Wario Land. Thry only had Mario's Tennis which was pretty boring. I tried SML2 on a real Game Boy too. After that, we went home. I must say, this is the best day I've had in a LONG time.

WHAT THE FUC.KING HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?!?!? IT'S FREAKING EPIC!!

I can list all of the great things about it if you want:

-The controls are perfect, so is the drift. You czn drift similarly to how you drift in MKDS, which I like. You can't snake in the same way, but you can get mini turbos even on straight roads.

-The soundtrack is really great. It makes you feel really happy, and it sounds so Mario. The music style isbreally unique too for a Mario Kart game.

-The level designs are really great. They're really colorful and fun to play. It really feels like you're in the Mushroom Kingdom.

-It has the best roster of any Mario Kart game, after MKW. It doesn't have pointless characters that no one likes.

-The graphics are really great for being a GameCube game.

-The multiplayer is really fun.

-The idea of having two characters in each Kart feels really unique and great. Also that everyone has a special item. They shhould've used that in MK8.

Hey it's just my opinion. Also I didn't know what the controls were when I played the game. And idk, it just didn't look that great to me.
But that's just my opinion. I respect that you love it.

If you didn't even know the controls, then it isn't weird you don't find it fun. Ya know, if you pause, you can see what buttons you use.

It was a while ago, so I don't remember if I paused the game. I do remember I didn't really enjoy it, and that my friend was better at playing it than me. And I ended last everytime.

I seriously can't see any flaws in MKDD. That game is just perfect. MK8 on the other hand has a few flaws.

Here's a list:

-It has the worst roster of any Mario Kart game

-The recovery is WAY too fast.

-It doesn't have battle tracks. You battle on normal race courses.

-The drift is pretty bad.

-The new Rainbow Road looks extremely easy. I don't like its design either. It's mostly space and satellite things, only a small part of the course is actually a rainbow.

Well I'm dissapointed in the battles anyway. The real fun battles were in MKDS when you battled to dead.

The battles in MKDS were boring. They were way too long. And I hate hoe you have to blow in the mic or press the SELECT button to get new balloons. I prefer short, but fun battles. I don't wanna battle on the same course for 15 freaking minutes. MK64 had the best battle IMO. It was also the most fun. It uses kinda the same concept as MKDS with the durvival mode, except that you only have three balloons. You really can't imagine how good laughs I've had with my friends when battling. xD

One thing I like with the battle in MK8 though is that they brought back the survival mode. My only disappointment in that you race on normal race courses and not unique battle tracks.

I wasn't talking about that. What I hate with the MKDS battles is that a single battle takes about 15 minutes to finish. Plus I hate how you have to blow in the mic to get new balloons. But yeah, MKW ad the worst battle of any Mario Kart game. You can't even play free for all! MK64 will always have the best and most fun battles, though.

I love MKDS' battle mode. It's just fun having a free-for-all and killing everybody. XD

@Radiant Yes, I did. Seriously, that game is really fun and completely flawless. I played MK8 in Mario Kart Stadium, and I honestly thought it was kinda boring. It's probably more fun to play it home with high volume. Still, it didn't have the unique feeling that MKDD has.

MKDD is my favourite of the whole series. Nothing can beat it in my opinion.

Here's my opinion about the battle mode of every Mario Kart game I've played:

Super Mario Kart: Really fun, but a bit confusing since everything's flat.

Mario Kart 64: Best battle mode of every Mario Kart game. The battles are really short, but fun. And the characters' voice clips in that game do very much for the battle.

Mario Kart DS: Okay battles, but WAY too long. Gets boring after a while.

Mario Kart Wii: Worst battle mode of every Mario Kart game. It's not THAT bad, but I found it annoying that you can only play in teams. The new battle tracks are way too big too.

Mario Kart 7: Big improvement from the previous game's battle mode. It's pretty fun, but still not perfect.

I don't much like MK7's battle mode. The courses are very boring. My favourites are probably MK64's battles, and MKDS's.

Me too. Donkey Kong 64 is fun, but Banjo-Kazooie beats it. DK64 wasn't even the best DK game. The DKC series was MUCH better. Especially DKC2. DKSixtyFour is still great IMO.

One of the things I like about DD is how simple it is. There's no stupid gliders or underwater driving or anti-gravity. And I love the courses, the music, and the drift style.

I agree. The only big gimmick it has it how there are two characters in each kart, which I think is pretty cool. I love the drift style as well. If you're good, you can get a lot of turbos even in straight roads by drifting and moving the control stick from left to right fast with smooth timing, which is really similar to snaking in Mario Kart DS.

Yeah, I drift like that. I've been playing DD for about twelve years so I'm pretty good at it. XD The two-character gimmick is fun.

MK64 would be EVEN worse online than MKDD! It has hundreds of glitches and shortcuts, so people would cheat. Many of the glitches aren't possible to fix either because on N64's limitations.

The SSB games are much easier on a console too. I wish I could use the Dolphin emulator, but my computer can't seem to handle it.

Same here. I once tried MKDD on an emulator. It was sort of playable, except that it was laggy, and the screen was completely black. xD

I have an N64 emulator, but even that doesn't work very well. The graphics are bad and it lags and crashes all the time. My computer is pathetic. XD

I originally had NES and SNES emulators too.

The only games that run almost perfectly on emulator are SM64, OoT, and MK64.

Banjo-Kazooie runs OK for me. Apart from the glitch with the jigsaw-piece fadeout thing.

I have a NES, SNES, GB, GBA, NDS, N64, Master System, Game Gear, Genesis, 32x, Sega CD, and a GCN/Wii emulator.

Your GCN/Wii emulator can't be very good, if you can't play MKDD with it.

I know how to fix that problem. First unmark "Hide advanced settings" in graphics settings, then click OK. Then go back to graphics settings and click on the "Advanced" tab. When you're there, check "Copy framebuffer to RDRAM" and then click OK. Then the problem is solved! It looks a little pixlier than on a real N64, though. But it still looks okay. Also, if the audio sounds sligjtly crackly and if the games freezes for about 1 second often, go to audio settings and check "Sync game to Audio", then that problem is solved too.

It is good. I'm using Dolphin. It's my PC that can't handle the games.

Ah, OK. I actually knew that, but I never do it because I thought using the framebuffer caused the game to lag a bit.

The game that runs the worst for me is Paper Mario. It usually crashes during the first battle, and in some areas the screen flickers horribly.

It only lags in some parts of the game, like in the beginning of Treasure Trove Cove.

For me, the screen only flickers in Toad Town.

To me, the screen flickers in Toad Town, the star summit thing, and a few other places. Luckily, I'm buying Paper Mario on Virtual Console later. Yay, no more glitches!

I wish they'd release N64 and GCN games on Wii U VC... But instead, they release GBA and NDS games. I don't get Nintendo sometimes.

I'm listening to SSB64 music right now. The nostalgia...

SSB64 is so limited... the Classic Mode is always the same. It's really fun in multiplayer, though.

SSB64 is pretty simple, but that's what I like about it. It will always be my favorite. It maybe didn't have the best soundtrack either, but it's definitely the most unique. You hear directly if a theme is from SSB64. SSBM and SSBB mostly has orchestrated music.

I played SSBM first. That's probably why I find SSB64 a little boring, as it's very simple by comparison. I still like it though.

SSB64 was my first SSB game ever. I got it when I was pretty young from a got friend on my birthday. I remember how happy I got. I played it all the time. Also, I've never played SSBM since I never had a GCN. I still find it illogical that I had an N64 instead of a GCN even though GCN came when I was about 4. xD

SSBM was one of the first games I ever played. I spent years unlocking all the characters, stages and trophies. Then, a while ago, my save data somehow got wiped. D:

I bought a cartridge of SSB64 a long time ago, just to find out if it was good. XD

SSB64 is the best IMO. IDC if SSBM and SSBB have more features. Nothing will beat the original.

I just watched a comparison video with Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's New Island. To be honest, I think the original looks much better. It has better contrast. Yoshi's New Island looks too bright. Why do they have to make all games so bright nowadays?? It kinda annoys me.

IDK. It annoys me too. The colours and lighting always seem bright and exaggerated in new games.

Especially the remake of DK Jungle in MK8. The part where you're really inside the jungle is supposed to look darker, but it looks as bright as the rest of the level. I don't get it. It just isn'tnlogical. The sun can't reach that place cuz of the palms, so it's supposed to be darker. DKCTF is the only new Nintendo game that doesn't exaggerate with the lighting.

It bothers me when games don't have proper shading/lighting. IMO, the Wii seems to be the best, and the GC the worst.

Although the GC has good shading in some games.

Most GCN games use the same shading method as N64, and that just doesn't fit with the good graphics GCN has. It just looks wrong.

GC is like an N64 with improved graphics. XD

BTW, one thing I hate about Nintendo nowadays is how they ruin the originality of great spin-offs by giving them the same level and character designs as the main series. They did that with PM:SS, Yoshi's New Island and MG:WT.

She did ask if Dragonologist could redesign Grin slightly. She also said that he looked kind of like a palette-swap of Ash. (I do agree with her there.) She wasn't being mean or anything, she just asked if Grin could be changed a little.

If it was a rpalette swap, they'd technically look completely identical but with different colors. Ash's horns, spikes, and chain aren't thensame. Their anatomy look pretty different from each other too.

Well, they aren't identical, but they still look quite similar. It's Dragonologist's OC anyway, she can change him if she wants to.

But didn't Dragonologist create Grin long before Ash existed? Anyway, I don't care about Grin too much anyway. I just find all this "You copied my OC, you have to redesign it!" sh.it kinda annoying. Not saying DreamKitten is like that, but still. There's enough room for both of the characters here on Colors!. I'd never redesign Watok just because someone else coincidentally made a similar-looking character. And if they would keep bugging me about that, I'd just block them. I mean, seriously, I don't care if someone makes an OC that's similar to Watok. But you're right, it's after all her decision.

I think Ash existed first. But I don't really care either. I only hate it when people actually STEAL others' characters, or copy their design completely. And it's obvious that Dragonologist isn't trying to steal Ash.

Ash isn't identical to Grin. If someone made an identical character to someone else's, it's obvious they're copying you.

When I first saw Trikey (a very long time ago), I thought he looked too similar to Tigertail. XD

(Off-topic) I'm listening to the Sunset Wilds theme from MKSC right now. I don't know why, but I get REALLY nostalgic when I listen to it. It brings back so many memories... Not only from that game, but also things I did in the same period as I used to play the game.

Actually, I've seen a few OCs that look a bit similar to Watoks. I once saw a pony character with almost the exact same color scheme. The dorsal fin was REALLY similar too. But the rest was different.
