In the city of Cobalton in the underground nation of Cobalt's Caves lived a young bard named Wilson. With his handmade gitar, he tried to inspire his fellow Mongers through song, but his music was deemed impractical. His gitar was confiscated by the Overlord of Mining until he mined his quota of Earthstones.

Fed up with being denied his music, Wilson broke into the Overlord's office, retrieved his gitar, enchanted it with a stolen Earthstone, and fled Cobalt's Caves to find his true calling.
