This painting concerns Kairuto (whom is from a book series I'm writing. "Defenders," if you're curious about the name.) That is his eye on the left,by the way. Yeah, there's a looong story behind this, and I'm unsure whether to explain, because I don't know if you guys like spoilers. But, if you'd like to hear it, let me know. :3 #whale #dolphin #tears #ocean
The Colors! Gallery moderators will look at it as soon as possible.

OK. ^-^ (Though I'll only be able to summarize, just enough so you understand the storyline, which is kinda lengthy. xD)
Kairuto's Story:
A h.umpback whale born into Moonah's tribe, now led by Sorbeleah, Kairuto was quite silent the majority of the time from the start and was very shy. One fateful day, however, when he was patrolling the pod's territory, he met an albino of his kind, known as Corala, as well as a foster-father of hers, Silverfluke, a bottlenose dolphin. He instantly fell in love with the Sireness (term I gave female h.umpback whales). TBC in next comment

. Despite her dolphin-like behaviors, Kairuto found her to be the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen. (D'aww! x3) Silverfluke introduced the two to each other, thus getting them accquainted. Kairuto later told Sorbeleah about her, and asked if she could join their pod. After some time, along with a few encounters, the leader finally granted Corala permission. TBC in next comment

Though one day, unfortunately, after a short period of enjoying each other's company (with a single misunderstanding as well), Kairuto and Corala would no longer be in the same world together. Not physically. A danger that had plagued Moonah's tribe for centuries had also recently returned, and threatened to sl.aughter every last member of the pod. In the tribe's darkest hour, Corala willingly sacrificed herself for the new family she loved so much. Kairuto went into deep depression as a result of his beloved's death. From then on, he vowed to never have another m.ate.
xc It's sad, I know. Well, I think I'm just about done.

But maybe I'll post Corala's side, too. :3

xD It's about time! Well, anyway:
Corala's Bio:
Corala, formerly from Auroralo's tribe, was born without pigment (making her an albino). Her mother was worried when she realized this, wondering what her leader would say. Due to the possibility that Corala's white color could make the pod stand out and expose them to danger, Auroralo declared that when the albino Sireness was old enough to cease nursing, the calf would be banished. When the time finally came, Corala's mother had come into contact with a friend of hers; a bottlenose dolphin named Silverfluke. She asked him to care for her daughter, and he agreed. He protected Corala with his life, and, since he could only imagine what a whale's ways were, he taught her his own. Soon enough, the Sireness was convinced she WAS a dolphin, and was puzzled by how huge she was. TBC in next comment

Then, the day came when Kairuto met her. She was confused at first, refusing to believe he was one of her kind. Then, after finally succeeding in making Corala buy the fact that she was a whale, Silverfluke introduced her to Kairuto. The two Sireni (plural of Siren or Sireness) became best friends (as Corala thought for a short time). Eventually, after Kairuto had told his leader about her, the albino whale was accepted into the pod. It was there that Corala also began to see the Siren... differently, and was happy to have a family again. TBC in next comment.

Though, a danger that had been haunting her new tribe for many, many decades had made a comeback, a danger that seemed strangely familiar to her as well. She figured out what she had to do, what she felt was necessary: sacrifice herself, so that her pod would have peace, Kairuto would have peace. So, Corala led the harm away from the pod and, once she felt she'd travelled far enough, accepted her fate. After her brave act had been performed, the darkness shrouding the pod dissipated for good.
Okay, so that's it. XD
