Awesome! What I do (you don't have to, everyone has syles) is take a darker color as the shade and then fill in with small streaks in the right fur direction to create realistic fur. :D Hope it helps.

Awesome job!! When I do realism, I try to be patient and refrain from using the...uh...fuzzy-grass-tool. (don't know the name) In some places I would try to show every strand of fur. :3
