All her life she was told that she wasn't good enough. In the litter, she was even the smallest cub. She was so small and frail, she almost didn't survive. But she did. And she pushed on.
Growing up, all the males pushed her around. "You're so weak you won't be able to be a huntress, not to mention a warrior!" But this just fueled her ambition. She worked harder and harder and became one of the most strong lionesses....

One day, a pack of hyenas came and stole a young, sick cub; easy prey. While everyone was out busy hunting and patroling, Shera was left alone in camp, like a weakling. But she managed to catch up with the hyenas, and thrust herself on the leader that had the cub. She saved it, and brought back the hyena as a prize. Finally, this convinced the pride of her worth and she was allowed to become a warrior. She has been proud of it and stayed true, working harder than ever, since.
