To answer your question: "Is this game (Monster Hunter) worth buying?"
Coming from a fan of the series, five years now, the only answer you'll get from me is a blunt and simple YES. Well, aslong as you like the following details:
Over fifty monsters (MHFU, MH-three-U, MH-four -indiviually-), all with unique weakpoints, strategies, and appearances.
Different weapons and armor for every monster for Lo rank, Hi rank, and G rank.
-four -hundred hours (on average) per game in the series.

I really hope MH-four gets it's NA release announcement soon.

Spider man is an irreplacable superhero with one of if not the most powerful backstory of all the superheroes in marvel. He connects to people, lotsof people love him- he is in so many arcs in marvel civil war being one of them! So many people are looking forward to spiderman being in the movie, if he isnt, i wouldnt doubt people would start walking away from marvel. O^O Think about it, though- it would make sense if spider-man got in just because of his character. I mean, give me one good reason why Spidey would NOT be a part of this global event? He would find out about it even if he was halfway across the universe because of his spidey sense, and the disturbance of time, and fate- and- madame web would let him know- or something!
Marvel would be contradicting the very character essence of Spidey not being in the movie. Thats wrong- morally almost. e^e
